Thanks again! 😛
andrewf90MemberIt does! It’s just perfect.
Thank you!
andrewf90MemberOkay, I collected various bits of code from the forum on here and combined them. Could you look take a look at it to see if there’s anything wrong with it to accomplish the tasks above?
Thanks, guys!
#footer-sidebar { padding: 0; } #footer-sidebar .widget-area .widget { margin-bottom: 0; } #supplementary .widget { padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 60px; }
andrewf90MemberHey,
The wrapper code definitely helps to remove the grey border/background, but I’m wondering how to reduce the spacing in this image:
I drew a red arrow to better illustrate what I’m trying to achieve. Sorry for the confusion
Thanks again for all your help!
andrewf90MemberHey!
I was browsing through the other forums on here and I found this code:
.wrapper { width: 100%; }
This seems to remove the grey areas on the left and right. Is this safe to use?Now that’s sorted out, do you see how the Header and the body text are removed from the edges of the page? How can I customize it to bring the Header text and content closer to the edge of the page?
Thanks again!
andrewf90MemberHey!
Thanks for your super prompt reply.
The reduced padding around the search box worked like magic.
That’s what I would love to reduce, the grey space. How could I widen the page so there’s less grey space seen on the screen?
Also, I’m not sure what you call it, but how do you make the text within the page closer to the edges of the page? There’s extra white space at the edges of the page where I would like the text to expand into.
Thanks again for all your help!
andrewf90MemberI did! It was a pleasure. Thanks.
andrewf90MemberHey,
The code in the second option looks perfect!
Thank you!
andrewf90MemberOMG! It is! Thank you so much! I couldn’t even tell the difference until I changed the gradient to complete white.
Thank you!!
andrewf90MemberHi, Pratik!
When I posted that message, I was thinking about how it would look like moving the menu to the bottom of the header. Would it be too much trouble to get the code to see what it will look like: i) moving the menu bar to the bottom and ii) to have a solid colour bar between the header and page?
Thanks again for all your help! I appreciate it a lot.
andrewf90MemberHi, again!
Here’s a link to the screen shot I tried to take: http://snag.gy/vpKmi.jpg
I hope it helps.
Thanks again!
andrewf90MemberWow, that’s great. It works like magic. lol. Um. For the mobile site header bar, the bar that runs across the mobile menu becomes a solid colour, which is perfect. But what I would like to do instead is add that colour bar at the bottom of the header for the mobile site so there’s a coloured bar that separates the header from the page border. I hope that’s not confusing.
Sorry for the trouble, and thank you again for all your help!
andrewf90MemberHi,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I’ve been trying to sort out stuff with my web host.
Here’s the site url: http://goo.gl/49Mbeo
The grey padding I mean is the border around the pages. I found one code on your support forum to widen the page, but there’s still that grey border. Would you be able to suggest how to remove that grey border?
Thanks again, you guys are really amazing.
andrewf90MemberOh, okay. Sounds good. Thanks a bunch for your help! I appreciate it.
andrewf90MemberOh! If it’s not too much trouble, could you please replace the website url I posted with this one: http://goo.gl/49Mbeo? I think I waited too long to edit the post. I’m so sorry for the trouble.
andrewf90MemberHi, Mahesh!
Thanks for your quick reply. I really appreciate it. What I mean to say I guess is that on the desktop version, the menu is collapsed unless I hover/click on it, but on the mobile version, the menu is auto-expanded. It’ll become an issue when I add many pages to the categories, so the collapse feature would definitely be important. How might I be able to correct that?
Thanks again!
