Hello:)

On each featured post slider, I would like to display texts only before <!–more–>tag.

I need to use Excerpt Blog Display, and now it’s showing all the texts from each post although breaking with <!–more–>tag…

Is there any way to solve this issue?

@makomoo: The Features Post slider text will take excerpt content. The number of words is calculated from “Appearance => Theme Options => Excerpt / More Tag Settings => Excerpt length(words)”.

But if you want to make it different for different post then you can add the “Text” in your “Excerpt” box in your post. This box text will replace the text in the post slider text. If you are confused about excerpt box then see this screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798330200958/

First of all, my layout option was Full Content Display, not Excerpt Blog Display… Sorry for my mistake.

Anyway, I put “5” from “Appearance => Theme Options => Excerpt / More Tag Settings => Excerpt length(words)” It should display really short texts, but it’s still the same… Is this because I am using multibyte character?

Then, I tried the second one. Yet, each featured post slider still shows all the texts (and adding “read more” in the end!).

You’ll see the first slider is more-tag, and the second is excerpt… Could you give me any advise?

@makomoo: Did you try in Excerpt Box text? After you add text in Except box. Save your post and then you might need to change the Theme Options to clear the cache. If this doesn’t solve then let me know it. Then I will email you and will check in your site directly.

And yes, I tried Excerpt Box text. Just in case, I cleared my browser’s cache and reload the page, yet it didn’t work…

@makomoo: Check in the screenshot I have send you in your email. In excerpt box, you are supposed to add only the excerpt text not the full text.
