I have been following the Theme Instructions for adding a portfolio to my website, but I cannot find how to actually add items to my portfolio categories. Via these instructions, I should see an option to “Select Type” (per #3 on the list of instructions). However, I do not see this option, only the option to “Enable On”, then # of Items, followed by drop downs to indicate the portfolios, and lastly “Button Link” and “Button Text”. Where should “Select Type” be?

What am I overlooking? Can you please provide the instructions for creating a portfolio in the free version? I am looking to upgrade both the theme and the plug ins, but I’m not sold on it given the issues I have encountered so far as well as the inability to actually see how the pro (paid) versions work. Thank you.
January 17, 2019 at 10:39 pm #163839sapanaParticipant@bryma: To activate the feature of portfolio in free version you need to follow the steps
step 1: First install Essential Content Type plugin.
Step 2: In Dashboard you can see portfolio icon, Add the project over there
Step 3: Go to=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Portfolio=> Enable It
Step 4: Select the project you have previously added in portfolio
Step 5: Save/publish it
let me know if this helps you out!Kind Regards,
SapanaJanuary 18, 2019 at 12:43 am #163854brymaParticipantYes, I have done all of that. However my portfolios are all empty. How do I actually add items to the portfolios I create? They’re just pages? That is not a “portfolio feature”, it’s just a page. Is this what is intended or is there an actual portfolio somewhere? How does this differ between the free and paid versions? Thanks!!
January 18, 2019 at 2:27 am #163860sapanaParticipant@bryma:I have attached the feature video for you. I hope it will help you out. Let me know if you have any queries or need clarification.

SapanaJanuary 18, 2019 at 10:15 am #163894brymaParticipantOkay. So according to this video there is no way to actually add items to a portfolio (or “project”). This is not useful to me. Thank you for clarifying.

SapanaJanuary 21, 2019 at 12:24 pm #164080brymaParticipantHello Sapana!
I have unfortunately been locked out of Catch Themes on my laptop due to too many login attempts (annoying! Especially since the password requirements are ridiculous!) so I cannot share the links for the features I am looking for. However, basically I just need a feed that will display images with captions in a visually pleasing way. Some plugins and themes I have found that I am interested in offer options for the feeds such as masonry, puzzle, square, etc. As far as I can tell, Catch Themes only option is to connect to a page. Perhaps you can send me a link to an example showing the features and layout options available in the pro version? I have spent so much time searching and digging for this and I’ve come up empty handed. I’ve also invested a lot of time into designing my website using the Adonis theme and it would be cumbersome to switch now, so I’d love it if this is available from Catch Themes. On a related note, I’m not sold on Catch Themes as a company. Forums and support documents/instructions leave A LOT to be desired. Customer service is soooo limited (forums only? Really?) and given that I’m locked out due to password requirements/attempts, I can’t even access my forums! I am not convinced this is worth my time. Especially if I run into more problems/questions and am forced to follow this process each time.
Thank you for all your help and guidance. I know you are doing your best given your company’s platform and processes. I simply wanted to share my experience as somehow how had worked with a lot of theme and web developers. Thanks again!

I have attached screenshots of the portfolio of Pro version, where you can add the column but unfortunately feature like masonry, puzzle, square, etc aren’t available. Can you please check it out.If you really like it you can go for it.

SapanaJanuary 22, 2019 at 12:43 pm #164180brymaParticipantHello Sapana! Thank you for sending those screenshots. However, they show the portfolio as it appears on the homepage, correct? What I am trying to figure out is how the portfolio items are displayed when I click on one of the portfolios, or on “View More”. SIDE NOTE: Why is “View More” there? Can it be removed? If someone wants to view more, wouldn’t they just click on one of the portfolios to take them to a page featuring their photography, for example? It seems like this just adds another step?
Do you have a video or screen shots of the one the items (Post, Page, Category or Image”) appear on in the portfolio when they are clicked from the homepage? Maybe it will help if I try to explain what I am envisioning and if Catch Themes can accommodate. I want to set up 4 Portfolios, or categories of my work: Video, Photography, Graphics, and Copywriting. When the user clicks on my “Photography” Portfolio, it would take them to a page featuring all the images I have tagged with “Photography Portfolio” (or whatever it may be), preferrably displayed in a visually pleasing gallery…which is where the Masonry, Puzzle, etc layout options would be super helpful. The same would go for the “Video” and “Graphics” Portfolios….clicking from the homepage would open a new page with those items. Does the upgraded plugin do that? Is there another work around I can implement to do this? Thanks!
January 23, 2019 at 2:34 am #164231sapanaParticipant@bryma: You can visit the demo of Adonis Pro. View more button helps you to link to the another page, if you want to remove it you can do it, just by clicking in image also you can link it to the another page. In Portfolios section you cannot add the video. Sorry to say that but plugin also doesn’t provide that features.
Kind Regards,
SapanaJanuary 23, 2019 at 3:05 pm #164276brymaParticipantClicking on any of the portfolio items in the demo just brings me back to the demo homepage…not to an actual portfolio.
How do I remove the “View More” button?
Thanks!
January 25, 2019 at 2:24 am #164390sapanaParticipant@bryma:I have attached the video link hope this will make you clear about the portfolio feature available in Pro version.Let me know if you have any other queries.

SapanaJanuary 26, 2019 at 8:22 pm #164477brymaParticipantIs this the same video you sent previously? It did not clarify anything for me. I still do not see what features are added. I think I’m just going to spend that part of my budget on a gallery plug-in instead of trying to figure out if this works. However, I do need to know how to remove the “View More” button. I can see where I can chance the text and link, but not where it can be removed completely.
Thank you.
