First off, I was using the free version but have just bought the pro version of the template euphonia. I tried to enter the license key into my free template, but your instructions are so thin or non-existant, that I cannot even find the area were to enter the license key into. The instructions you sent me per email seems to describe a different theme.
You say, that I need to go to
Appearance => About Theme => License
But when I do that, there is absolutely no link “License” where I can enter the license. I really hope I do NOT have to re-install another pro theme next to my free one just to upgrade, as my site is already up and running and I really do not have the time to migrate everything.
Your instructions have room for improvement. For my theme the instructions are simple non-existent! When I went to look for instructions for the Euphonia theme, they simply do not exist! Your drop down menu to select theme instructions are not in alphabetical order, so it also takes ages to sort through the list. A little chaotic…
Then I also have a second question: in your terms & conditions it clearly states that you can use your themes on as many sites I wish. But when I look into my account, it appears I can only enter one website for activation. This is a clear violation of your own terms of conditions. If this license is restricted to one site, then this license is absolutly useless to me.
Here is a quote from your terms & conditions:
“All our WordPress themes are licensed under the GNU general public license. You may use your purchased theme on as many websites as you want. Please check your “readme.txt” in your theme folder after you download it.”
Please be so kind as to enlighten me on how I can:
1.) get the pro feature to activate in my free version of the Eupohonia Theme and
2.) how I can activate more than one websites for this theme in my account. Please be advised, that I only bought the theme as I assumed (as stated in your terms and conditions) that I can use this theme on multiple sites.
As you can probably guess, I am in a hurry to get my site out to my client, so I would ask you to please respond as quickly as you can. I appreciate it.
PS: If instructions to this theme do exist somewhere, I would appreciate if you can send me a link.
I appreciate your timely help!
Thanks,

Regarding license: I will still need explanation.
Please post instructions / manual for the theme.
Also, I have 6 social icons in the footer which all work fine except the soundcloud icon. Instead of showing the soundcloud icon, I get a link / chain symbol. I checked spelling in the footer menu. All seems normal. I also added the icons in the menu structure. But still no success. Please let me know how to get the them to show also the soundcloud icon. thanks.

The License Key is used for automatically updating the theme to upcoming versions. So for a single purchase of the theme you can use the license key on a single site for automatic updates. You can still use the theme in as many sites you want however you will have to manually update the theme and automatic updates won’t be available. I hope this clarifies the confusion. For more information please read the article in this link.
Please post in your site URL so that I can look into the social icon issue.
Let me know if this helps you out!

Thank you very much for clarifying the license issue. That is good news.
Regarding the social icon issue, here is the link (the social icon in question are in the footer at the bottom of the page)
Appreciate your help,
Greetings,

Please do not forget to take a look at the icon issue.
I also have an issue with my background video in my header on the start page. Usually, when websites with video backgrounds in the header are viewed on mobile devices, it should fall back to a background image (instead of video). I did upload a header image (just below the video in the customizer), but the video does not fall back to the image in mobile breakpoints. Is this a problem in the template?
Thanks,
WalterApril 4, 2020 at 12:16 am #241243SkandhaParticipant@avviano: Hello Walter,
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code./* To have soundcloud icon */ #menu-item-591 a::before { content: '\f1be'; }
The fallback image issue has been resolved and an update will be released soon. I will let you know when the update is resolved.
Let me know if this works out!

Thank you for the css code regarding the social icon, which worked fine.
Regarding update coming up for the theme, it would be great if you could also support the WebM Video format (for the background video), as it can compress the video by a factor of 100% compared to MP4, which will reduce the loading-time considerably.
Since your template update could still be some time away and I need to make my site work by Monday (video plus fallback image), any chance you could send me a breakpoint CSS code for a fallback image (for start page).
Thanks again and have a great weekend,

I just saw the update, thank you very much. I installed it and the fallback image now works. However, the video does not fully cover the fallback image in the background. There is a thin line that shines through at the bottom of the video. See the image below (I solved it by adding a black line in my image at the bottom, which is not at all ideal). This would still need to be solved, then it would be perfect (together with WebM video support):
Here is the image

April 6, 2020 at 3:33 am #241442SkandhaParticipant@avviano: Hello Walter,
The recommended format for header video is .mp4 as it is supported by all the browsers and it is a core feature. It is possible to use different format like WebM for header video but that is beyond our support scope. So, if you really need it I suggest you to hire a customizer to get it done.To get rid of the little image line at the bottom
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code..has-header-video .custom-header-media .wp-custom-header video, .has-header-video .custom-header-media .wp-custom-header iframe { padding-bottom: 0; }
Let me know if this works out!
Kind Regards,
