I am brand new to using Fotografie Pro and not very tech savvy. I would like to add small Facebook and Instagram icons in the bottom footer area of my website (thebaytownproject.com) so that when you click the icons, they link to my project’s social pages. I would appreciate step-by-step instructions on how to do this.

I’d be happy to help you add Facebook and Instagram icons to your footer.

Please follow these steps, and also check the screenshots below:

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Go to Appearance -> Menu.
3. Create a new menu (Social Menu) and select it.
4. Add menu items using Custom Links
5. Add desired menu items to Social Menu
6. Under Menu Settings, check Footer option
7. Save the menu.

OK, that worked, somewhat. But instead of the Facebook and Instagram icons appearing in the footer, the words Facebook and Instagram appear. Actually, I kind of like it that way. But if I wanted the icons instead of the words, how do I make that happen?

Hello @baytownproject,

It looks like you added the Facebook and Instagram links to the Footer Menu.

Please go to Menu Settings, uncheck the Footer option, and select Social Menu instead. You can refer to the screenshot below for guidance:

After making this change, it should work properly.
