This function suddenly stopped working and I have tried three different browsers.

The mouse turns into the four arrow icon for moving, but as soon as I click to drag the sections up or down, it selects the text instead.

How can this be fixed please?

Can you please try deactivating all your plugins and see if the Section Sorter works?

Thank you for your suggestion. It worked!

The problem was actually WordPress 5.3 Beta. Downgrading back to 5.2.4 solved the issue.

Will there be an update that makes the section sorter compatible with version 5.3?

I wanted to post an update.

After upgrading to official WordPress 5.3 today … the section sorter stopped working again.

Section sorter worked well under 5.2.4 and all plugins were deactivated to test.

There seems to be a little bug in the Section Sorter when upgraded to WordPress 5.3. The issue will be fixed and an update will be released. I will let you know when the update is released.
