@gabriele-corvi: Login to your WordPress admin section.
Go to Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Portfolio
Under Enable on : Select Homepage/Frontpage
Under Select Layout : Select Special Layout.
Under Select Type : Select Category
Under Select Categories : Select your desired multiple categories and the selected categories will appear as the menu in the demo of the theme.

Ho provato e funziona. Devo sistemare però qualcosa perché per alcune categorie non mostra nulla, invece dei post ci sono. Probabilmente devo sistemare le categorie.

Ho fatto una prova: sulla Home http://www.lelecorvi.com compare il menù.
Ma alcune voci non mostrano nulla. Per esempio “Mostre e concorsi” e “Pubblicazioni”. Anche se in realtà ci sono dei contenuti:
Mostre e concorsi: https://www.lelecorvi.com/category/mostre-e-concorsi/
Pubblicazioni: https://www.lelecorvi.com/category/pubblicazioni/

Probabilmente c’è qualche parametro che devo sistemare, ma non riesco a capire quale.

@gabriele-corvi: Please try increasing the Number of items to show which lies above category from theme options of the Portfolio section. The items are restricted due to the number of items that you have chosen to display.
