Hi there

I’m trying to get an image caption for a featured image on the frontpage. While inside the post the caption works well it does not show for the featured image on the frontpage. Does anybody know any tricks or maybe a plug-in?

Hello André,

Can you post in your site URL so that I can check what is happening. But I guess, you are using “Excerpt/Blog Display” setting from “Appearance => Theme Options => Layout Options => Content Layout”. This setting will just show the featured image and the excerpt text.

So, if you want to show the content and caption image like the post. Then you need to go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Layout Options => Content Layout” and select “Full Content Display”. This will show your whole content in frontpage. In this mode you can break the content using more tag <!--more-->

Thank you for your answer. The URL of my page is http://www.iso111.com and you were right with your assumption.

I tried your suggestion and it works, just that I get another problem if I do it like this. When I now click the image on the frontpage view it doesn’t link to the complete post but only shows a large version of the image so I changed it back to the original setting.

Now, maybe there is also another way to solve the problem, the only thing I want to do is to show the copyright owner of an image not only in the complete post but also in the preview on the frontpage. Any idea?

Hi Andre,

Sorry there is no option to add that when you are in Excerpt/Blog Display. But as said earlier you can change to Full Content Display. Then for the link in the image, that you can change it.
