    Hello! I need to create a child theme for the Personal Trainer Pro Theme. I am wanting to use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and it suggests using a child theme for this. I just want to make sure I do it right and not screw up the main theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    @chrismyersemailyahoo-com: Hello Chris,
    You can use our free plugin Generate Child Theme. Install and Activate the plugin
    Then,
    Go to => Dashboard => Generate Child Theme => Select Parent Theme as Personal Trainer Pro and fill in remaining fields and Click on Generate.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I did what you said and the child theme was created. HOWEVER, when I activate the child theme, I expected to see no changes to my website. What is happening is I am seeing the “default” personal trainer pro theme. Some of my stuff is there but not all of it. Am I missing something? Is there another step I need to take?

    @chrismyersemailyahoo-com: Hello Chris,
    You will need export you customizer settings from your parent theme to the child theme. For that you can use our free plugin Catch Import/Export.

    First you will need to activate the parent theme and export the customizer settings then activate the child theme and import the customizer settings you imported earlier.
