I’va dded a catchbox pro theme to start a premium version of my site  which is not on wordpress.  Please look at it as well so you will see what I’m trying to do:http://talkleft.com

I’ve enlarged the header graphic up from 865 which is the size on my main site in increments up to 1176, and it doesn’t get as wide as the bar below it. I think your width parameter for the header is 1,000 but how can I reduce the stuff below it to also have a width of 1,000 or increase the header to whatever number it needs to be to lie flat with the menu? It looks off-kilter. to me

Also, how can i pick a custom color for the bar or else delete it. I’ve also deleted the search bar. n the graphic.

And how can I change the color of the sidebar itself, I only see options for changing title and text color.

Thanks very much. I’d like to keep using the theme if I can get it to look right.

@talkleft: First your header image http://premium.talkleft.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/tl1176x252.png has outer border that is taking space. Please upload the image without the border and in png format. Then this problem with be solved.

To change the background color of sidebar widgets, add the following css in “Custom CSS” box in your Theme Options panels. You can change the color code as per your need.
.widget { background-color: #000; }
