Just created this site and followed the directions to add featured images to my posts, caught the ID number so I could go into theme options and that number to slider.  This worked find and all of a sudden it disappeared when I changed the picture to something else (I did change the ID in the slider to match).  Now that I try to go back and use the old image, it still won’t work.  I have to go into my hostgator account, delete the wordpress account, reinstall, and add back in simple catch to get that slider back.  Once again, adding a picture using the method above….dissapears again after a couple of seconds.

@projectb36: This seems little strange. You mean that you were able to add the Featured Post Slider and then after sometime it get disappeared. Can you send me your site URL so that I can check in.

Hi Sakin,

It seems to come and go. Some times I go to the site and it works and other times it is not working. They just disappear and all I see are the slider arrows.

Now the images are back. It is strange. When they disappear I try the site from other computers and even my smart phone (different network) and they are gone. Then I try back in 15 minutes and the images are there again.

I will try to let you know the next time they disappear.

Hi Sakin,

Issue is happening again now… the slider images are not there.

I see everything except for the slider featured images. Even the slider arrows are there they are just on the menu.

I again tried to refresh, clear the cache and even tried over my cellular network on my cell phone. Featured images are gone.

Thanks for checking into this strange, dissemblance then reappearance of the featured images on the slider.

Hi Sakin,

I have a child theme but I did not change anything yet. Seems the slider photos dissapear from time to time, but when I notice the are gone I go to the menu options and click save menu and they show up again…

My featured post slider never came up, Sakin. I attempted to post a picture using the ‘post’ number and just the pegboard showed up, but no pic. Please help. I’ll be happy to send you my url via private means. Thanks much.

Hi! Yet again the featured slider has disappeared. (www.migrantcity.info). Last time I was told it was in conflict with WPML. Is it possible to resort this for the future?

My featured Slider in WP 3.5.1 was not showing in a dashboard, so according to one forum i add this code

@mloga94: Don’t edit anything on the theme core file. Now you need to re-upload the theme from FTP and it will be fine.

Featured post will keep changing to the latest post I add. I have 4 different languages loaded so how do I get featured posts which are for the language specific blog?

I have the same problem. It’s really weird. Slider disappears randomly, even when no changes are done to the theme.
I have the following plugins activated:

• Polylang
• WP Photo Album Plus

I also noticed that when I change website image background, then header logo and menu position information are lost. That also hides slider. After that change I have to assign menu positions and select logo all over again.
I need this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks

@zoran87: Sorry I don’t get it what you mean. Is the problem when you have multi-language or just when you change the background. Can you try it by disabling the plugin. Sometime, there will be plugin incompatibility issues.

Sorry I couldn’t reply earlier.

One problem is that slider disappears randomly and the other one is that changing background corrupts logo, menu and slider settings.

Slider is now gone again on my site. It was there for a few days, and nobody even logged in wordpress control panel. Yesterday it disappeared and I cannot see any logic in that. How can plugin and theme work for days perfectly, and than stop suddenly, without any changes to website files?
