    Catch Kathmandu Pro: Hello, I’ve tried using several different plugins to paste the Facebook Pixel code into the header without success. I found instructions for pasting it into header.php — not using a plugin — (http://www.sweetcapri.com/adding-facebook-pixel-code-to-your-wordpress-website-without-plugin/) but the suggestion is to put it into the parent theme instead of the child theme. Can you advise, please?

    @effess : You should never make any edits to the parent theme directly. I suggest you to download and active catch web tools plugin. Enable Webmaster Module in catch web tools plugin and insert the script under Header and Footer scripts. Let me know if this resolves your issue.

    I pasted the script into Header and Footer scripts like you said and saved changes. Nothing has gone into header.php either in the parent or the child theme. Maybe it’s the code? It starts:

    <!– Facebook Pixel Code –>
    <script>
    !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s)
    {if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?

    The code is supposed to go into the child theme, right?

    Apparently it’s a problem with WordPress 4.9. http://theusualstuff.com/wordpress-4-9-error-edit-files-resolved/ I finally used Dreamweaver to paste the code into the child theme header.php and FTP’d it. That worked.
