Hi,
Is the demo content and database available, so I can learn how to set it up like in the demo?
Failing that is there a a how to explaining how the demo (especially the home page) was made?
April 24, 2019 at 6:23 am #171043Derrick RobinsonParticipantTo clarify, it seems the demo home page has the following sections:
1. Slider with two images each with a button linking to another URL
2. Tours, table layout, with Buy Now, FB and Twitter links
3. Parallax background image (showing guitar foot pedals), between two ‘grungey’ black dividers
4. CT: Audio Widget
5. Parallax background image (showing bass guitarist holding down string), between two ‘grungey’ black dividers
6. Videos section with larger video (on left hand side) next to two smaller videos (one above the other, on the right hand side)
7. Parallax background image (zoomed out image showing bass guitarist holding down string), between two ‘grungey’ black dividers
8. Latest News section showing three columns of content (posts?) each with an image and text below, twice (i.e. six content items)
9. The Latest News, strip showing chaning content every few seconds
10. About section, image on left hand side with text on right hand side
11. Parallax background image (close up of foot pedal), between two ‘grungey’ black dividers
12. Six images in a row linking off to instagram
13. Footer 1, ‘Follow US’, followed benweth by 6 social media icons, follwed beneath by links to Home / About / Help / Support
14. Theme footer bar
Could you please tell me how to setup the above?

https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/demo-content-request/
https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/demo-content-request-2/I’ve therefore downloaded and activated the ‘Catch Themes Demo Import’ plugin in readiness for your: “demo content .xml file, customizer settings .dat file and widgets setting .wie file”.
Thanks!
April 24, 2019 at 11:35 pm #171082sapanaParticipant@derrickr: I will sent you an email along with the demo content .xml file, customizer settings .dat file and widgets setting .wie file.
You can use our Catch Themes Demo Import Plugin to import the demo. Activate and Install the plugin. Then Go to => Dashboard => Appearance => Import Demo Data => Now you can Browse and Select the .xml, .dat and .wie file to Import Demo Content and Customizer Settings.Let me know if this works out!

Just about to do the import but it states: “Before you begin, make sure all the required plugins are activated”.
Do you therefore have a list of “all the required plugins” ?
Thanks,
Derrick
April 25, 2019 at 9:21 am #171169Derrick RobinsonParticipantOkay, just went ahead and imported anyway.
Saw a mention of ‘Jetpack’ in the previously sent files, so installed that beforehand and it seems to have installed okay.
Still trying to get my head around the logic of how the home page is built – i.e. how the various sections are included.
A true ‘How to’ would be good…
April 25, 2019 at 9:23 am #171170Derrick RobinsonParticipantJust worked out that the home page sections are built up using widgets! Of course…

SapanaMay 30, 2019 at 8:27 am #173754Claire McMahonParticipantI have installed the demo content but I find the site only partially resembles the demo, can anyone give me a steer on how to achieve the Parallax background images?
May 30, 2019 at 12:18 pm #173766Claire McMahonParticipantActually sorry cleared everything and started again and this worked, may not have fully activated the theme before installing the demo content, working perfectly for me now.
May 30, 2019 at 11:46 pm #173773sapanaParticipant@cmcmahon: Glad to know that it worked out! If it’s not too much trouble, I have a quick request: could you please leave an honest review?https://wordpress.org/support/theme/rock-star/reviews/#new-post Your review will help others know what to expect when they’re looking for the support I offer. Even a sentence or two would be hugely appreciated. Thanks, and if there’s anything else at all that I can do to help, don’t hesitate to let me know.
