I did some modifications to the original gridalicious pro, but I have to make changes every time I update, so I created a child theme using a plug-in. It works fine for the most part, but the home page has issues.

I had the home page not showing excerpts, but rather the whole page. It reverts to excerpts in the child theme.

I had removed “posted in” and disabled the comments, but both are back in the child theme.

The comments are disabled in the customizer. The layout options are identical to the parent theme, including Show Full Content in the archive setting.

I have tried additional CSS that I copied and pasted from this forum, but it does nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really need to update the theme, but I can’t until I get the child working properly.

    Thanks

    Thanks Skandha,

It is http://www.sandybalascak.com, but I would need you to let me know when you are going to look. I have it running with the parent until I get the child theme problem worked out, but I will happily switch it for a bit when you have a chance to look. I just can’t leave it like that because I am promoting something on the first page and it doesn’t show up in the parent theme. Let me know a day and time that is good for you and I will make sure the child theme is running.

    Thank you

@sandysandybalascak-com: Can you activate the child theme and elaborate the issues you are having with the child theme? Also let me know the plugin you used to create a child theme?

    Regards,
    Skandha
