Hi, hoping you can help. Any settings I make in the theme options/customizer won’t save and just keep reverting back to there default settings? This is for all settings. I am especially struggling to get the featured page slider to display the featured images I have set (on each page) these keep re-setting to the default slider demo images? I have been through all the forum answers previously posted but this hasn’t helped I’m afraid. I have disabled “ALL” the plugins but the problem still exists. I have spent hours going through all the settings etc, I even uninstalled and then reinstalled the theme but this still did not fix it. I am happy to grant you access to the back end of the site if this would make investigating the issue easier.

Have you come across this before what do you suggest I can do, it’s a clients website and so I need to sort it out as quickly as possible. I think it happened after a recent possibly update to the theme.

Your help with this issue would be most appreciated. We really love the theme and look forward to using its features.

@android: I checked the theme on our server and it is just working fine. Customizer is working fine and the settings saves too. Do you get any error?

Hi Mahesh, thank you for getting back to me so promptly, the only message I get is the following when I try to use the featured page slider and make the required settings ( which don’t appear to save)

“You have selected Page Slider but you haven’t added the Page ID in “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Featured Page Slider Options””

However I have tried this several times, maybe I’m missing something? I’m pretty sure I’m not, I’ve been using WordPress and plugins to build 15 or so sites and so well past the novice stage. Having said that I could be doing something wrong? Do you want to have a look in the back end/ as its all very mysterious and the issue is very random.

One question I have is there are two places to access the settings Customizer and the Theme options, could this be causing a problem, setting them in two places? although this would not account for the “not saving” thing which is happening in general? Anything I can do to help just let me know.

@android: Its means that you haven’t selected the page to display as Featured Slider. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Featured Slider=> Slider Options then scroll down, you’ll see Featured Page Slider #, select the desired pages in the drop-down. The featured images set in the pages will be displayed as slides.

Hi Mahesh, OK I went through the process again twice, on the second attempt the settings seemed to have saved and it now appears to be working YAY!!. I’ll let you know over the next few days if it remains stable. Can we leave the ticket open for a few days and I’ll get back t you.. Quite odd becasue I haven’t done anything that I had not already tried before several times. Must be a glitch in the my system perhaps ?

The next thing I need to do is remove the page title & text that appears on the slides ( text of the chosen page) I’ll have a look into this unless you have any suggestions of the best way to do this . would it be by using some custom CSS?

You’ve been so helpful . and I really like this theme if I can get it to work as it should it will be great.

Hi Manhesh, I spoke to soon I’m afraid, all the settings have reset themselves to their default status. I think the issue, (whatever it is) is more fundamental. I’m sure that if the problem with none of the settings not saving could be solved it would probably sort out all the other issues, like not being able to select a layout or the slider not working.

It does seem to be a rather odd problem! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Yours Andy

PS the settings went wrong when I tried to use a different layout this reset the slider!! weird!

@android: I did check your site and the customize setting are working just fine. But when selecting Pages in slider, please make sure that the page have featured image set. Or the slider will not load. By default, Image Loader option is set to true, which loads all the image first before displaying the sldier. And if one image is not found, the slider will not be displayed. So try setting it to false and let me know.

@android: I recommend you to use Customize setting rather than Theme Options. I did checked by changing other options in Customizer (i.e. Layout Options). But it worked fine. The slider setting remain as it is.

Thanks for all the help and advice, it seems that all the problems were being caused by using the “theme options” in the Appearance menu rather than the “Customiser” also in the appearance menu. Using the Theme option seems to break things and not be able to save settings made where as via the Customiser everything seems to be working oK So for anyone else having the same problem Avoid using the “Theme options in the Appearance menu.

@android: May be due to the server the issue is occurring. Some servers gives such problem. But its okay as long as you get it working with Customizer instead.
