All the ways I’ve seen on wordpress.org on how to add the blog title to the archives seem complicated. Right now the Archives just show the month & year — how do I get it to add the blog title to it?

Blog will look like this: http://catchthemes.com/demo/catch-evolution/blog/
Daily archives will look like this: http://catchthemes.com/demo/catch-evolution/2012/03/15/

I have only one blog post published, but I’d like it to show up in the Archives widget as (date or month/year) (blog title). Right now it just says (month/year).

@Bouncedancer: That is default “Archives” widgets from WordPress and we are not allowed to change anything. If you need different type of Archive, then you need to search for plugin at http://wordpress.org/plugins/

@Bouncedancer: Yes adding lot of widgets will be confusing and also will make the WordPress heavy. That is why we have plugins to add extra features that you all need.

This is useful info — I thought the plugins would add more weight than the widgets because the widgets are already built in.

@Bouncedancer: It depends on how plugin is build and most of the plugin from reputed developers have keep that is might and will not hamper load. Also this plugin work more on backend and will not effect must on frontend it that is developed properly. So, where you select the plugin: check in the update, reviews and download stats.
