ieefaMemberHmm, I am not exactly sure what you are saying was done. Last month I had messed up the coding when trying to adjust the header size and was locked out of the website/wordpress. I was told step by step how to fix it and I had to reinstall, I’m pretty sure. I am hesitant to install/uninstall on my own. I do not want to create another issue with our website.
I did an update prior to that last problem and just completed one now to see if it fixed the problem with the slider and it did not.
I also deactivated the plugin and nothing changed either.
Thanks for your help!

SakinKeymaster@ieefa: Why did you install Simple Catch Theme inside your oldthemes directory inside theme directory. Maybe that is the conflict. You can directly install it in theme directory.
Have you installed any new plugins or updated anything.
First delete the simple catch theme from oldthemes and add it in directly under themes. If this doesn’t solve it then try disabling recently active plugins.
Let me know your progress.

ieefaMemberHello. My featured slider is not rotating the pictures. It stays on the first featured post ID picture.
I was hoping you could help me fix it. Some days it works. some days it does not. If there is not a way to correct it, is there a way to remove the slider option from the homepage all together?
Our website is http://www.ieefa.org/
Thanks,

SakinKeymaster@ddelmotte: If you are using Pro version. Then use the image slider and for those who needs title and content, you can add it and for those which doesn’t need you can just leave empty. For link, in image slider you can add any link url. See this screenshot http://pinterest.com/pin/548594798329509357/
August 6, 2013 at 10:41 pm #12825In reply to: Remove Title and Excerpt on Featured Slider
ddelmotteMemberSakin, Thanks for the tip. We did update to Pro and can use the image slider now. Because we want the image slider to link to a specific page with a title and content we cannot leave it empty. BUT (haha) your CSS info was good enough to get the job done. The only question is how could we make a title and excerpt seen on some featured slider page/post and not others? Thank again, DD
August 6, 2013 at 11:18 am #12801In reply to: Remove Title and Excerpt on Featured Slider
SakinKeymaster@ddelmotte: Hello David, to remove the title and content. Best option is to use the Featured Image slider and just upload the image and url. Then leave empty title and content in Image Slider Options. But looks like you are using Catch Everest Free theme, which doesn’t have image slider. It only have post slider and it automatically add title, excerpt and featured image from the post. So on this case, you can hide it by adding in the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#main-slider .entry-container { display: none; }
August 6, 2013 at 1:05 am #12784In reply to: Use "Featured Post Slider" for pages not posts
SakinKeymaster@etuttle2: Catch Everest Free theme only have Featured Post Slider. Which mean you can only use post as slider. You cannot use Page.
You can use Catch Everest Pro theme where you have option to use Featured Page Slider to use page as slider and Featured Image slider to use image as in independent slider. You can find more information about Catch Everest Pro at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/
August 5, 2013 at 10:57 pm #12764In reply to: Image slider does not work anymore
MarianneMemberSakin – I have the same problem (http://gindrup.dk/citchcatch).
The 2 first pictures I added to the Featured Image slider, I could crop as I wished, now I do not have this possibility any more. If I click a picture in a post and choose ‘Post Thumbnail Editor’, I can only choose Crop Thumbnails, and when I try to do that I get a ‘The webpage cannot be displayed’-message.It worked for this post http://gindrup.dk/citchcatch/wp-admin/post.php?post=15&action=edit – but not for this
http://gindrup.dk/citchcatch/wp-admin/post.php?post=189&action=edit&message=1Thanks,

aaronborregoParticipantRight once again!
August 2, 2013 at 9:06 am #12688In reply to: Featured Slider Not Working
SakinKeymaster@aaronborrego: It’s nothing to do with WordPress 3.6 as we have already tested with WordPress 3.6 version.
It might be either Minify issue or any other plugin issue.
Can you disable Minify in your W3 Total Cache plugin setting, clear your cache and refresh your browser to see is it work.
If this doesn’t work then can you try disabling recent plugins that you have added.
July 31, 2013 at 7:49 am #12601In reply to: Full width
SakinKeymaster@Marianne: Featured Post Slider has the limitation of 987px width. So, you can just make it full width. For this first you need to have larger image in the post and then customize the css. So, better hire developer for this task.
July 31, 2013 at 7:46 am #12600In reply to: Reduce and remove empty space
SakinKeymaster@PierreLuc3E: Modifying Catch Everest Free Theme. But it depends on how you have used Catch Everest in your Theme.
1 – remove the grey band above the Header
— You can add the following css in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
.site { margin-top: 0; }
2 – reduce the white space before and after the Logo
— You can add the following css in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.#site-logo { padding-top: 0; } #hgroup-wrap { padding-bottom: 0; }
3 – reduce the white space before and after the Featured Post Slider
— For this I need your site URL
4 – reduce the white space before and after the Homepage Headline
— You can add the following css in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#homepage-message { margin-top: 0; }

SakinKeymasterYour child theme sytle.css will be as following

July 29, 2013 at 8:19 am #12495In reply to: Menu bar / home button and front page.
SakinKeymaster@Kayman Engineering:
1. How can I change the name of the “Home” button in the menu bar?
— You can set your own custom menu from “Appearance => Menu”. You can change the menu name from the labels of the items. See more info about menu at http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/2. Can I change the bag ground color for only the “home” button? I would like the menu bar to black, and the home button to in a red color. Both with a white front.
— Send me the screenshot of the menu design and send me your site URL. Then I can send you the custom css3. I use a static front page. Can I place my page text so the text is right under the slider, but above the featured Content?
— For this you need to build child theme and edit the positions from your child theme functions.php action hooks. So, you might need to hire developer for this.July 27, 2013 at 9:09 pm #12430In reply to: How to remove catchbox.slider.js from theme
SakinKeymaster@lavana24: You don’t need to remove it. You can just go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. Then in Enable Slider select Disable. This will remove your slider js completely.
July 27, 2013 at 8:21 pm #12425In reply to: How to resize the pics for the slider
SakinKeymaster@Sarah Althaus: If you don’t want image to be cut of, then you can upgrade to pro version and use the Featured Image Slider. Where you can upload the image of any size.
But for which area to cut of in the image. You can use the plugin such as http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/

July 26, 2013 at 9:14 pm #12398In reply to: Catch Box – Android Menu
SakinKeymaster@MichelB: Well I don’t have Android device to test it. So, can you send me the screenshot and the device resolution.
I also have found issue with your slider, it’s over the menu. So, add the following css in “Apearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#branding { z-index: 10; }
Further, I see that you haven’t added Featured Image in your posts.
