tinydreamMemberThis seems like it should be possible because the original images that come with the theme do not link to a post.

nicosainMemberThanks. So that was someone before me and I have no idea how they got that there, and how I can replace it with my new swf file… 🙁
They have a few plugins- swfobject reloaded, Kimili Flash Embed, and then of course there is the featured slider that came with the theme.
Any help is much appreciated!

February 28, 2013 at 4:37 pm #4563zhangciwuMembersorry to make you understanding wrong.
what I’m talking about is not the Featured Post Slider (which I choose to disable)what I’m talking about is the “The representative image of the article”
which usual appears on article list, and one article has 1 at most.a picture:(
"http://zciii.com/blogwp/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/QQ%E6%88%AA%E5%9B%BE20130228184132.png"
)look at the picture above, the image in the red box is it, the “The representative image of the article”
which has a same one in the article content, and in the article showing page, i can see two same picture, I think it’s weird.I think the image in the red box should not appear.
that’s what I want to say.February 28, 2013 at 4:33 pm #4562In reply to: Dropdown in IE
SakinKeymaster@nicosain: I see that you have already placed the flash in the featured post slider section. Can you send me the screenshot of the problem with the menu. So, that it will be easier for us to fix. As we have tested Catch Box Theme and it’s fine.
February 28, 2013 at 4:23 pm #4559SakinKeymaster@zhangciwu: You are using Catch Everest Theme. To add in the Featured Post Slider please see the theme instruction in details http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/ where there is clearly mentioned about How to add Featured Post Slider. If you don’t understand or still confused then let me know it.
February 28, 2013 at 4:20 pm #4558In reply to: I cant put in the Featured Slider my pages
SakinKeymaster@aldoup: Simple Catch Free Theme doesn’t have Featured Page Slider. It only have featured image slider. So, it needs to be post.
There is Featured Image Slider in Simple Catch Pro which gives you full freedom to control your slider with your own independent image, title, description and links all optional. We will also be adding Featured Page slider in Simple Catch Pro theme in March, 2013.

aldoupMemberHello? who can help me?
February 28, 2013 at 1:18 am #4530In reply to: featured slider gone after activating WPML
SakinKeymaster@thofmann: Firstly. WPML doesn’t mean WPML plugin ready. It’s WordPress Multi-Language ready. This mean our theme is Translation ready and can be used in various languages of WordPress.
If you see Simple Catch is Multilingual Ready (WPML) and also currently translated in Polish, Russian, Finnish, French, Dutch, Greek and Croatian.
Can you ask in the forum of WPML plugin and ask them what is the problem and how can we make compatible to their plugin. If they answer my question then I can help you on making those changes on theme. Otherwise, you need to deactivate the plugin.
February 25, 2013 at 11:37 pm #4446In reply to: Featured Slider Questions
SakinKeymaster@chinedus70: In Simple Catch Free theme you are using Featured Post Slider for which you need to add the Posts id’s individual in Featured Post ID 1, 2, 3 and respectively.

chinedus70MemberPlease ADMIN HELP ME i am having problem with the featured slider i installed simple catch and used post images as featured images for each post about three of them. I also took note of their post IDs.
I went to appearance
clicked on theme options
clicked on featured post slider
clicked on add slider options.
enter the number of slides i want and
entered their appropriate number of post IDs.
but when i open my site in another tab, only the first (#1) post ID would appear in the featured slider. if i change the number, maybe take the last into the first column that last will be displaying and others wouldn’t.
Please help me. in the site i am working on i was strictly told to make sure there is an image slider. please help me.
February 25, 2013 at 12:01 am #4366In reply to: Featured Post Slider on Different Page
SakinKeymaster@golfer300: I am not so sure that I understand your question. But if you want to show page in the homepage instead of blog archive. You have option to Select page from “Settings => Reading => Front page displays”.
February 23, 2013 at 4:53 pm #4344In reply to: Add subheader to post title and reduce padding
bobbafettMemberHi,
I disabled the child theme as I got frustrated with all the changes and needed to get the site live. Although it’s a bit of work each time I’m okay with replacing the function below in the pages below every time catch-box is updated
content.php
content-single.php
content-page.phpOne of the bigger issues I will have is being able to format the featured slider once I need to use it since I understand that unless you buy the pro version of catch-box that you cannot. Can you confirm this and provide a URL showing the differences between the free and pro versions of the features slider?
Also I think if possible you should consider adding in a sub heading feature into your theme, perhaps adding it to your pro version as a feature.
February 21, 2013 at 8:51 pm #4245In reply to: Adding Image behind new posts on homepage
SakinKeymaster@aquahoya: Please post your query in New Support Forum. This page concerned about the site http://truthinablog.organika.ca/. Also when you post your question please add in your site URL.
Simple Catch Free site have only Featured Post slider, where you have to add in the Post Id which will take the Post title, excerpt and featured image of that post. In you have Simple Catch Pro Theme you have additional Featured Image Slider where you can upload independent image, title, content and links.
For Header background, you need to upload your header image through media uploaded in Add New media in your WordPress Dashboard. Then you can add in the following CSS in “Custom CSS” box in your Theme Options panel.
#header {
background: url("Your Background Image URL") repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}
You can add widgets in in your sidebar. Go to Appearance => Widgets. Then drag and drop widgets in the sidebar.
You can remove the comment through “Settings => Discussion”. But individual page and post setting will overwrite the overall setting. See this for more details http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/
February 21, 2013 at 2:11 pm #4236In reply to: Adding Image behind new posts on homepage
aquahoyaMemberI apologize before hand. I would like to add an image like shown in the “preview” that is under the “topmenu.” I guess that is the sliding post. I am guessing I just place the URL in the “featured slider post” and it should work?
Secondly, I would like to create a “header image” that backdrops or it falls behind the menu bar on the homepage just like is mentioned in “truthinablogs” responses but I don’t know what css to go to as its not clear.
Thirdly, I would like to remove the “comments” at the bottom of the pages and posts, where do I go to do that?
Thank so much,
Kevin
February 20, 2013 at 4:08 pm #4190In reply to: Featured Slider Frame color
SakinKeymaster@kirk: For the Featured Post Slider background color. You can add the following CSS in your Custom CSS box in Theme Options panel.
#slider { background-color: #fff; }
February 20, 2013 at 1:12 am #4143In reply to: Feature Slider Arrow Alignment
SakinKeymaster@superguysteve: I don’t think you have setup the slider properly. You need to first post few articles with Featured Image. Then add the post ID in the Featured Post Slider Options. Check our the Theme Instruction http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-box/
February 20, 2013 at 12:37 am #4128In reply to: General Question
SakinKeymaster@paigeohliger: Yes you can add the link in The content of Featured Image Slider. But you need to add the following css in “Custom CSS” box to make the link text visible.
.featured-text p a { background: none; display: inline; position: relative; text-indent: 0; }
February 19, 2013 at 8:18 pm #4122In reply to: General Question
paigeohligerMemberOne more general Mustang question.
Is it possible to put an HTML link in the featured slider content area? I understand that the entire content area can be a link. We would like to add links to different pages from the text in the content.
