I went ahead and purchased Catch Base Pro (I had been using Catch Box Pro.) I like it a lot. Just a few questions. My site is here:
premium.talkleft.com1. I disabled the menus and the site title at the top of the home page. I substituted my header graphic. How do I get rid of the white space under the header graphic and before the start of the site material?
2. The site shows fine in preview mode but the actual display has some extra white space on the sides of the header and content. The header and content don’t quite stretch to the margins. How do I fix that?
3. Has something changed with the favicon and web clip files? In catchbox pro the favicon was “favicon.ico” but that just shows up blank in the media gallery using catch base pro.
Thanks, I really like the theme. Happy holidays.
December 25, 2014 at 1:11 pm #49323talkleftParticipantProblem #2 is solved, I uploaded a larger header graphic and it stretches across the site now.
Problem #1 is still an issue. There’s too much space between the bottom of the header and the start of the content.
Also, the “read more” isn’t showing on entries on the home page. It did in Catch Box Pro and I can’t figure out how to make it show on the Catch Base Pro home page. I’d like people to know that the excerpt they are seeing isn’t the whole post.
Thanks again.
December 27, 2014 at 3:03 am #49335talkleftParticipantI have the primary menu set to disabled. I have the secondary menu set to “empty”, meaning it has no content. Would disabling the secondary menu solve the problem of too much space between the header and the start of the content? How would I do that? I’ve read through the theme instructions and support threads here and on wordpress and haven’t found a solution. When I switch appearance to Catch Box Pro, I don’t have this problem.
Also, for a fix for the “read more” not showing on post excerpts on the front page, would disabling the excerpt feature solve that? I would like the posts on the front page to contain the material up to the “read more”, and to show the “read more.” It works fine on Catch Box Pro, but not Catch Base Pro. How can I correct this?
Thanks.

1. About the spaces below you header. I see that you have add blank custom menu in Secondary menu. So, go to “Appearance => Menus => Manage Location” and remove your blank menu from “Secondary Menu”. It should be left as — Select a Menu —2. Thanks it’s solved
3. You can change Favicon from “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Icon Options”
For more, you can check out theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-base-pro/
Thanks for using Catch Base Pro and Happy Holidays… Cheers 🙂
December 27, 2014 at 1:03 pm #49344talkleftParticipantThank you Sakin.
I changed the secondary menu setting to “select” as you suggested and the space is still there. Do you have another suggestion?
I also can’t seem to fix the excerpt problem on the home page. The “read more” link does not show up, no matter what I set the excerpt length to.
I was able to fix the favicon issue by saving it as a jpg rather than an ico and uploading it
Thanks again.
December 27, 2014 at 10:44 pm #49352SakinKeymaster@talkleft: I see that you have added your logo as Header Image. That is nice but it’s better you remove that image from Header Image and then upload it as Logo from “Appearance => Customize => Site Title & Tagline”. Then add the following css in “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Custom CSS Options” box:
#masthead, #masthead .wrapper, #site-branding { padding: 0; }
But if you want to keep your image as header image as it is now and remove the spaces, then you can add the following css in “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Custom CSS Options” box:
#masthead { display: none; }
December 28, 2014 at 1:29 am #49357talkleftParticipantThank you, Sakin, I knew you could help me fix it! Both of your last suggestions worked. On my child theme of Catch Base Pro, which I have activated now, I deleted my image as the header and made it the logo and added your css. It looks just like I want.
I also finally figured out my other issue (with the “read more” not showing.) It was because I had entered the text as “read more…” When I removed the dots and made it just “read more”, it shows up on the home page with the link, as I wanted.
Again, thank you so much.

Thanks this solution works for me too.
Just one quick question Sakin…
How to reduce the gap between the logo and the menu?
March 24, 2015 at 10:41 pm #54253March 25, 2015 at 9:33 am #54310alphaxyzParticipantI want to eliminate the white space between my logo and the menu.
March 25, 2015 at 11:35 pm #54344SakinKeymaster@alphaxyz: There is empty header right sidebar. So, just go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Header Right Sidebar Options” and check the option “Check to disable Header Right Sidebar” and save it.
March 26, 2015 at 6:01 am #54367alphaxyzParticipantMighty thanks Sakin!
It solved my problem.
