I fixed the issue. The plugin “Page scroll to id” had an “old” selector no more accepted by WP 5.5. The plugin suggested to change it into a[href*=’#’]:not([href=’#’]) , and now there is no conflict with Catch Everest theme.

I find out that deactivating the plugin “Page scroll to id” the slider works, so there is a conflict with that plugin.
Now I’ll keep it deactivated. Luckily I used it only in a post.

Unfortunately, even after the last update (3.3.4), the slider doesn’t work properly, yet. There is no overlap but only the last article title is displayed.
