You custom css will not be overwritten when you update the theme or plugin.

@pele: Either you have to use FTP and replace the files. Or you have to activate another theme in you WordPress Dashboard and then delete the Catch Everest old version. Then upload the new version as fresh new installation.

You will not loose any of the customization, if you haven’t change any core files. So, while doing customization user the Theme Options and Custom CSS Box. If you want to change functions for further customization then I recommend you to build child theme and do the customization there.

Simple Catch Pro theme only have 1 and 2 columns layout. We will think about adding 3 columns in future updates.

This theme doesn’t have footer widgets. You questions look like you wanted to choose “Catch Box Pro” theme http://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-box-pro/. Which have primary and secondary menu and then footer widgets.

Just add the text widget in Header Right Sidebar for adding phone numbers and then add Catch Box Social Widgets for Social Icons. But for that you need to fill in the social links url from your theme options panel.

But if you want featured image slider then you need to upgrade to pro version.
