Ok, I see, to have a page that is not accessed from the menu, then create a custom menu without that page included, ugh! Sounds complex.

On Everest Pro, I know you can create a page with no sidebars, what I meant was can it be set to have no border? So the page fills the entire screen. I know there are other WP themes that can do this and it seems to be the direction many sites are moving.
Also, if I upgrade, will all my pages and posts adapt without issue? Or, will I need to reset any content and images?
BTW- I’ve used other themes and you do a good job of responding to issues. Thanks for your support.

Any ideas what it could be? Also, I’m interested in upgrading to Catch Everist Pro; where can I learn what the major differences are? Most specifically, does it offer a full-width (wide) page view?
March 20, 2014 at 4:21 am in reply to: Catch Everist Home Page Left Sidebar not aligning properly #21899rsoloskyMemberNext time I’ll do that, but for expediency’s sake, I threw 3 pictures in order on my website. You should get the idea of what is going on if you look here… http://bit.ly/1eSNbMP

March 20, 2014 at 12:48 am in reply to: Catch Everist Home Page Left Sidebar not aligning properly #21879rsoloskyMemberSorry, but I don’t have a photo sharing site. Wouldn’t it be easier just to email the jpg?
March 19, 2014 at 11:33 pm in reply to: Catch Everist Home Page Left Sidebar not aligning properly #21868rsoloskyMemberI noticed this as a problem a while ago. I just updated to Firefox 28.0 and it is still a problem. I’m not sure how to attached a file with this forum post. If you send me an email address, I’ll send you a shot. Basically, the widgets/content from either left or right column is being pushed to below the main page content. As though there are a bunch of carriage returns pushing it down. I just noticed that this happens on all pages with a column, not just the left.

rsoloskyMemberNo worries, just got lucky through trial and error.
@investa… Make sure you have 3 blog posts for your 3 images and the image size is listed in the support section:Feature Post Slider
Width: 1140px
Height: 450pxThumbnail in Homepage and Archive Page
Width: 690px
Height: 462pxI would assume that this is the maximum size as I am using 1000 px X 288 px and it works fine. Can’t help on the other question, you should probably post your URL so that Sakin can look at the site.

rsoloskyMemberWhat helped me is to realize that this theme is designed as a blog site rather than a website, so much of the logic for functionality revolves around a blog post.
The slider images come from the featured image from an individual blog post. So create a blog post, set the featured image and then look at the number associated with it in the url (in the address bar of your browser the entire url is displayed, you’ll see post & then a number use just the number). It is best to have all these images be the same size, otherwise your engagement area (slider) jumps up & down.
Now go to Appearance > Theme Options > Featured Post Slider > Featured Post Slider Options and under the post number enter just that number from the post in the url. It will call up that specific image on your home page in the order you assign it. The heading for the image is your blog post name and you can change the caption by entering your copy in the excerpt box in the edit post section. If you don’t see excerpt you can turn it on through screen options by checking the box.
Finally, you can eliminate the featured post images which fall underneath the main image, by disabling the Homepage Featured Content under Homepage Settings >Homepage Featured Content Options.
If this is unclear or you have more questions, I can try and help, just hit me back.

rsoloskyMemberNevermind! That’s the most convoluted process I think I have ever had the opportunity to understand.
rsoloskyMemberThank you for your prompt reply. I am currently set to use the Catch Box theme. I’m happy to move my questions to another forum if that is better.
I like the Catch Box theme because it is simple and straight forward and it easily allows me to drop my logo image into the header area with the header image feature. My other requirement is to have an engagement area that will allow me to feature various images scrolling/sliding to convey several marketing messages. I thought the featured image function on my static home page labeled Focus Your Vision would allow me to do that.
If there is a better theme to use, I’m happy to switch. Once again my site is currently questusstrategies.com/wordpress/ Any help you can offer is appreciated. Looking through the thousands of available themes is time consuming.

rsoloskyMember@dreamydayz A couple of questions, 1) How do I find the post ID #? Can I only use the image from a post? How about a page? I’ve set the featured post on my static home page, but it doesn’t appear. Quite baffled.

rsoloskyMemberAnd, your point is?
a) You don’t have an answer for my question?
b) You won’t won’t answer my question?
c) You don’t understand good customer service?
d) All of the above?
The answer to this question will help me decide whether I purchase an upgraded theme. Thank you in advance for your prompt reply.
rsoloskyMemberIn Appearance > Theme Options > Content – Regardless of whether layout is set to “Show excerpt” or “Show full content” no Featured Image appears on the page.
