@Sakin: Sorry I should’ve been more clear. I meant that when you click the search button to search on my site it overlaps and I am looking at it on a smaller screen size on my browser.

@Sakin: I am currently using a background image for it but as some browsers do not support background images I would like to make it a header image instead.

Thanks Sakin! The culprit was Google Custom Search so I deleted the plugin and everything is back to normal

I have not customized the theme much no. I only added an image in the header with css but I don’t see how that would cause harm.

@Sakin: I have but it says ‘We’ve disabled this option for you since you have footer widgets in Appearance → Widgets, or because your theme does not support infinite scroll.’
