Sounds good and thanks for reply. I realize now that I definitely like have the featured image there. Just need to see if I can figure out a way to control what is visible in the thumbnail shown. Maybe the plugin WPThumb could help?
After viewing the theme more, I no longer wish to remove the featured image in the posts and archive pages. Just looking for best advice on how to format the thumbnail used since the featured image gets cut off like in the URL example I gave above.
