This is the site with the search bar.

I would like the search bar to work like this search bar.
http://www.wanderung.ca/

Whenever you click somewhere OFF of the search bar the search bar disappears. I find it not very user-intuitive that you have to click and close it, especially for a search bar that is so wide.
