@ Skandha, I’ve left reviews before but it’s been awhile so I’d be happy to do another.
I do have one more question about this though. I’ve decided I’d like to change the font these heading are using and I’m getting some push back. When I add
h2.section-title {
font-family: “Whisper” !important;
}with or without the important, the font does change, but not to anything like what I’m considering. What am I missing?
Thank you
catwingzParticipantThis is temporary. I’m having to develop it using a hosts file
Testimonials is there in orange.
catwingzParticipantThese links don’t last very long… here’s another one:
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
This update solved one problem but created another. It is now possible to change the title of the section but when I did this I discovered that the font had changed to the one used for the site title, except much larger and orange. This is not acceptable. The font should be able to stay the same as the other sections.
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
The buttons are perfect now. 🙂
How can I change the name of the Testimonials section?
Thank you
February 1, 2021 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Mobile Usability issues reported by Google Search Console #272867catwingzParticipantThe notice was from Google. That’s all we know. I remember the “clickable elements too close together” was reported quite awhile ago but it was never resolved.
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
Problem solved. I can’t find the error but it must be there because now it’s working, and perfect at 80px. Thanks for your help.
catwingzParticipantI reinstated it. It still doesn’t work. As I’ve said, this used to work but stopped apparently after a theme update.
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
That’s no help. In the customizer the Home page and archives are combined. We don’t want posts on the Home page but we do want to be able to have a sidebar for archive pages. How do we separate them?
Thank you
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
The Home page is static with no posts.
Thank you
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
I think my reply slipped between the cracks. This issue isn’t resolved yet, especially frustrating when something in an update appears to have negated my previous fix. Please take another look.
Thank you
catwingzParticipantThis is a screenshot showing how the Social Icons widget acts differently depending upon which widget area it’s placed in. The sidebar one works fine with showing the social icons where information has been supplied in settings. The footer and bottom widgets have a dropdown for a menu which is not asked for in the sidebar. When the first works fine, I feel compelled to ask why it’s ok for the two to act differently. I’ve never seen a widget do this. Is it really going to require the social credentials to be added in two different locations? Please explain.
Thank you
catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
Neither my code nor yours is having any effect on the position of the header text now. For the moment I’ve left it but commented out all of the code I’ve tried. The site is now public though so you can view it at SPC site.
I hope you have another solution!
Thank youcatwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
I inherited this website which someone had started using Gutenberg and then abandoned. Then I switched the theme to High Responsive. I have used this theme before without having to use Gutenberg which I try to avoid at all times. All of the other pages use Classic. If I just clean out all of the inherited Home page Gutenberg content will there be any problems? I guess what I’m trying to figure out is if this is part of the theme, WooCommerce or Gutenberg.
And is Gutenberg the key to the issues with the ‘select options’ buttons? Since that’s part of the cart it would point back to WooCommerce, except I’ve used Woo before but it didn’t have this sort of store setup.
Thank you
catwingzParticipantHi,
I replied to the email several days ago but I don’t think anything has changed. Please take a look. We’re very close to launch and the Home page is a bit embarrassing.
Thank youNovember 26, 2019 at 12:40 am in reply to: Featured content below Home page content on the page #227457catwingzParticipantHi,
I should have thought of this sooner. We solved this by using a plugin allowing different widgets on different pages and stacked the widget content we wanted to add beneath the ‘featured’ content. Problem solved. Thanks for your help.
November 8, 2019 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Error message, unwanted sidebar, layout & header media issues #225264catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
When I used the CSS before it didn’t help, but one of the changes I’ve made since then must have cleared the way. Now the CSS solves my problem with the About page header image. Thank you for your help.
November 1, 2019 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Error message, unwanted sidebar, layout & header media issues #199531catwingzParticipantHi Skandha,
We’re making progress.
1. The error message turned out to be caused by Jetpack. Luckily I had already added a plugin for the most important piece. Problem solved.
2. I was missing that. Thanks
3. I am unable to use the CSS but it turns out this is a theme issue. When all of the plugins are deactivated there are only two pages with a header image— the Home page and About. This extra image on About has to go. The other image goes with the Header Image plugin and comes back along with the images for all of the other pages. I am reactivating the plugin for now so it has two again, but I believe the top image is the problem as the actual image doesn’t have good dimensions for a banner.
Thank you

The issues related to the error message, Home page sidebar, and double header on the About page are still unresolved. Please advise.
Thank you
