    Hello. I am getting errors trying to get google to recognize my site and read my sitemap (site is humaninterests.org).

    Yoast said clear cache, so I added “WP Fastest Cache” but I think this is at the site level. Does Clean Journal Pro have cache that needs to be cleared, and if so, how am I to do that?

    Since it cannot read/fetch the sitemap, I requested google to index the site. Google said it’s available for indexing, but has issues that limit search results. Google said the site is limited because the Page is not mobile friendly. It only looked at my home page, citing the top header. It said CLICKABLE ELEMENTS TOO CLOSE TOGETHER and CONTENT WIDER THAN SCREEN.

    Please help. I cannot code. It seems to look fine on my phone but I cannot ignore it because google is not accepting. Jim

    @jim-sutton: Hello there,
    Can you please let me know which test you performed? I performed the Google Mobile Friendly Test on your site and didn’t find any issues. Here is the link.

    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Thank you @skandha. All my attempts to get the site and the sitemap recognized are through the google search console, where it shows no activity for the site. Down the left side is the sitemaps option, where the sitemap URL I feed them is not able to be fetched/read. Since it is not able to see the site or the map, I go to the search console again and make it refresh the inspection, and this it says “URL is not on Google” and present a button to “TEST LIVE URL”, this then gives the message “URL is available to Google, but has issues”. Then the underlying messages are CLICKABLE ELEMENTS TOO CLOSE TOGETHER and CONTENT WIDER THAN SCREEN, and if you go deeper it gives sources like “https://humaninterests.org/wp-content/plugins/catch-infinite-scroll/public/css/catch-infinite-scroll-public.css?ver=1.7.9”

    Please let me know…

    When running the mobile friendly test it says “Page is mobile friendly” but also Page Loading Issues” and then “Page partially loaded
    Not all page resources could be loaded. This can affect how Google sees and understands your page. Fix availability problems for any resources that can affect how Google understands your page.”
    The detail then points to issues with page resources:

    @jim-sutton: Hello there,
    Does the error message go away when you deactivate those plugin from your site?

    Kind Regards,

    I deactivated the Instagram feed plugin but no difference. I have speed problems complicating and preventing everything. The mobile disqualifications are still there, but I must put them aside for now. Thanks, Jim

    @jim-sutton: Hello there,
    Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

    @media screen and (max-width: 768px) {
    	.entry-meta a {
    		padding: 7px;
    	}
    }

    Let me know if the CLICKABLE ELEMENTS TOO CLOSE TOGETHER and CONTENT WIDER THAN SCREEN issue is resolved.
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Thanks Skandha. I added the CSS (ne. w territory for me!) and no complaints from google. Sorry took me long – I was quite sick for a long while. Jim
