Hi Sakin
Another request for your excellent help 😉
I would like to upgrade to Catch Everest Pro (from the free version). Will I need to restore/rewrite some of the elements I’ve created, reinstall widgets etc? I am a WP beginner so am feeling a bit daunted…but I need to change the font family (still not sure how to do that) so I have to take the plunge! The site is at test [dot] acewords [dot] co [dot] uk
I’ve also been asked to create a background for this site that features a light blue gradient becoming slightly darker as you scroll down the page. Is it possible to create a vertical gradient image, or would the way that the page renders make this request unfeasible?
Hope you can help. Thanks again for all your support.

You can easily change font family in pro version through “Appearance => Theme Options => Font Family Options”. You don’t need plugin for that.
Yes you can make the gradient image and then add it though “Appearance => Background”.
July 17, 2013 at 8:33 pm #11995ieefaMemberHello, before I upgrade to Simple Catch Pro I wanted to confirm it will fix the issues I am trying to address. I have looked in the other topics and it seems that may be what you suggest.
The website is http://www.ieefa.org/
Issues:
1. There is too much space between the top of the page, the logo, and the slider. Reason its a problem: you cant see we have news articles unless you scroll down. If people visit out site they may think we haven’t updated it since it is the same slider images. I think a way to fix that would be to remove the search bar & rss symbol at the top of the page since they are already in the sidebar. I cannot figure out how to do this. Is this possible?2. The titles of the pages & posts are HUGE. I assume that is header 1 and I tried to change it but did not succeed.
I am new to wordpress so any help is appreciated. Is this something I can fix in Simple Catch, or should I upgrade to Simple Catch Pro? OR is there another theme you would suggest that would fix these issues?
Thanks for your help,

#header .social-search { display: none; }
You can change the font size of the title of pages and post by adjusting the font size and adding it in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#main #content .post h1, #main #content .post h2.entry-title { font-size: 24px; line-height: 1.5; }

Thanks for your reply. I’ve upgraded to Pro today and as you suggested although a few tweaks were needed it was very straightforward.
When I create a vertical gradient image (I’m not sure yet how to do that!), does the theme layout mean that it will repeat at certain points down the page? It’s to replace the central area background colour (not the background image on the left and right hand side of the full page). I’ve been asked to create a background that becomes slightly darker towards the bottom of the page – is this possible?
Design advice gratefully received! Thanks,

Then you can create a longer image in length and for with you can make it small For example, 6px with and 600px height. Then you can copy the darker color and add in your background settings.
So in “Appearance => Background”. You upload your background image, then you can choose display settings as position: left, repeat: no repeat and Background Color as your the last dark color.

July 21, 2013 at 10:32 pm #12182SakinKeymaster@BryanShaw: You can limit from your setting at “Settings => Reading” in your WordPress Dashboard.
