Then after you complete the translation you can contact via http://catchthemes.com/contact-us/ with subject: Catch Everest German Translation. Then we will add your translation in Core theme file. So, you don’t have to worry about it. Also we will be proving you complimentary Catch Everest Pro upgrade, thanks note in readme.txt and social profiles.
Currently Catch Everest Theme has been translated in Polish, Chinese, Spanish and Italian languages.

I have updated my theme to catch everest pro version 2.0.1 with the German translation file.
My question is now, how do I activate the German language?
I do not have access to a FTP-Client and installed the update by uploading directly from the Dashboard.
Hope you can help.

April 6, 2014 at 2:00 am #24340pipsParticipantlet me try to explain you again what I want.
Target: Website in German
Example site: http://www.lichtundmusik.ch/category/uncategorized/
Explanation to the example site: The standart text “Nothing Found, It seems we can’t find….” is written by default in English but I want it by default in GermanPersonal Assumption: I think I have to say to the php file he should take by default the German .mo translation file. But how and where can I do that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language
Resume: I want to activate the German translation file so that my site will be in German
Hope this was now not confusing and thanks for your answer.

If you look at the languages folder in Catch Everest Pro theme, you will see other language files. For example for Italian language it is as it_IT.mo and it_IT.po. And for the German, you should create de_DE.po and de_DE.mo file using http://poedit.net/ software. Then you can send me that file and I will add it in new version update.
The file you are tying to search is no-results.php. But if you edit this core theme files directly, then there will be problem when you update the theme to latest version. All your edit in core theme files will be reverted back to original.
April 6, 2014 at 2:02 pm #24369pipsParticipantWe are really not speaking about the same.
I have allready made the German translation and i send it to you and you updated it in the new version of catch everest pro 2.0.1. The file is called de_CH.mo and de_CH.po it doesent matter if it is Swiss-German or German-German because the written language is the same.
The only thing I want to know is how can I now make use of this file because as you see my Hompage is still in English.
How can I activate/use the German translation file (de_CH.po), so that my homepage appears in German?
Many thanks for helping
Pips
April 6, 2014 at 3:48 pm #24372SakinKeymaster@pips: I am still not getting what you mean. When I check in your homepage http://www.lichtundmusik.ch/, it in German language and category where you don’t have post is showing it in English. I check in the file de_CH.po and de_CH.mo and it looks fine and should be able to change it.
I just check in our server and the language file is working fine. Can you check in your wp-config.php file and check your language definition in code define(‘WPLANG’, ”);. It needs to be setup as
/** * WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English. * * Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the chosen * language must be installed to wp-content/languages. For example, install * de_DE.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de_DE' to enable German * language support. */ define('WPLANG', 'de_CH');
You can also email be back if you have further issue in language.
