    I just renewed my license, and tried to update the theme, but it’s not working.

     

    I get this error, whether I use the manual method, or the updater method.

     

    Update failed: Could not copy file. clean-education-pro/inc/news-ticker.php

    Hi Carey,

    It looks like you have file and folder permission issues on your server. So, contact your website hosting server support to fix and update the theme. Generally, WordPress directory and folder permissions should be set to 755, and most file permissions need to be set to 644.     Did you try it using FTP as well?

    Thank you.

    I tried with FTP and all files but one were uploaded. Then, the hosting provider made some permission updates.

    The theme is now updated.
