Hi. I’ve uploaded header images, selected “randomize uploaded headers”, and saved/published. The images cycle as I load new pages – but ONLY in the working site, NOT for the public. What is happening?

@abisbee: The feature is working fine on our server too. Do you get any error? Have you installed any plugins, please try disabling the plugins. Let me know further.

Mahesh: No error messages. All plugins are disabled and it still won’t cycle.

@abisbee: Make sure you’ve selected randomized header. If the problem persists let me know, will have to check on your server for the issue.

Mahesh: There are 2 “Randomized uploaded header” buttons. The order is:

    Current header
Randomizing uploaded headers <– This is not enabled for selection
    a list of uploaded images
Hide image – Add new image
    Previously uploaded
Randomizing uploaded headers <–This is selected.

The images refresh from within the development side, but not in the live site. (And yes, I “save and publish”.)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Mahesh.

    Mahesh,

We needed to go live with the site and have transferred the domain to http://wellnesswarriorsboston.org. Please use this URL when troubleshooting the site.

    Thanks.

@abisbee: Check your site and seems the random header is working fine. Sorry for the late reply.

Please check out NOT on the admin site. They cycle on the admin side but not when logged out. They don’t cycle for anyone who has checked, using any type of device!

(I didn’t expect you to answer on the weekend. 🙂 )

@abisbee: Checked your site. The issue is due to GoDaddy caching.

Thanks, Mahesh, but would you please explain what that means so that I can talk to godaddy about it?

@abusbee: Your web hosting is provided with caching service, which is why the issue is occurring. Yes, please contact godaddy. It is caching your site that’s why random header isn’t working as it should.

    Regards,
    Mahesh
