Hi, generally my latest post is previewed at the bottom of my homepage. But the thumbnail image shows as a blank image(default of theme) and is not the same as my post image. how can I change it?

It showing a blank image/default image because your post has no featured image in it. so that it shows the default image.

To show the image  you have to add a featured image

go to Dashboard >> Posts>> Post>> Edit Post and you will find the featured image section on the right sidebar

Thank you! That worked.
but after solving that problem, the featured image appears at the top of my post page. can I manage that to never show on the post page and only on the home page?

It seems you have enabled the option to show a post thumbnail on the post/page

to disable it please follow this instruction

Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customizer >> Theme options >> layout options
