MemberHi Sakin,
I have read the posts and am still having problems replacing the everest and the prayer wheel pictures. I have tried the post ID and when I do that it deletes the main picture frame (containing the Everest and Prayer wheels), but it adds my pictures from the Post ID beneath that in the small picture frames. Please let me know bc I would like to replace the Everest and Prayer pics.
Thank you, DinaMarch 11, 2013 at 9:12 am #4946Sakin
Keymaster@willko: Sorry for modularweb slider you might check for plugins. We don’t have support for that. Or you might consider building child theme and add it.

Keymaster@adb096: Hello Dina, Yes this slider is featured post slider to make it easy to manage for magazines. When you add in the Post ID, it will take the featured image from the post ID and then show it in the slider. So just upload the large image, suggested size Width: 1140px and Height: 450px and make it ad featured image in the post.
Don’t worry about the small image in the frontpage for other posts. It will automatically crop it as per the need.

MemberSakin,
Whenever I try to update any of the Theme Options, other than the logo and static page, the saved changes are not saved. At this time the ones I have attempted are adding the Facebook link and changing the Homepage Headline. Each time I add these and select “Save”, it says the changes are saved but nothing changes on the live website when i refresh. Also the changes i made are gone when i click back on the Theme Options area. The website is http://www.jodon.com.
Thanks!
Reuben

MemberHi Sakin,
Ive noticed that the slider transparent text overlay doesnt work in IE8 and possibly other versions. I take it I’d have to use specific IE at #main-slider .entry-title a & #main-slider .entry-content
Or, using a transparent PNG for the background.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Jason

MemberAlso, the width of the container in IE8 and Chrome/FF are different. IE is 990px and Chrome/FF is the width of the slider image.
Is this right?
Great theme! It is very popular.

Keymaster@skweekah: can you try adding in the following css in “Custom CSS” box in your theme options panel this will make the IE8 opacity to work;
#main-slider .entry-title a, #main-slider .entry-content, #slider-nav a { -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=70)"; }
But for width, I am confused why it is not working. I will check in if I fond the solution. Always use updated IE.

Keymaster@reuben26: Maybe your site got conflict with the plugins you are using it. So, try disabling the plugins and check it. I have also emailed you. You can reply me there.

MemberHi!
First of all I would like to thank for such a nice theme. Great job! 🙂
As I got in this topic to replace the Everest picture I need to set up a Post and to add ID picture in a featured post slider options. It works great but all my posts are now publishing on the title page. I’ve tried to add page’s (not post’s) ID instead but it didn’t work out.
Is there a way to do it via page’s ID or to add the post and to ‘hide’ it somehow (not to appear it on the front page).
Here is the link: http://standrewsmoscow.org/stdev/install/wordpress/
Thank you in advance!

Keymaster@Eugene: Thanks for your appreciation.
Catch Everest Free theme only have option to add Featured Post Slider, so it has to be post not page. But if you upgrade to pro version there you have option to choose from Featured Post Slider, Page Slider, Category Slider and Image Slider. See this for more details http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/
But yes, you have option to hide the featured post slider post from homepage post through “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider => Featured Post Slider Options”. Then check Exclude Slider post from Homepage posts and save it.
