Hello,
I want to change order of the menu. How can I?
I set up a menu with categories, but it doesn’t show up next to the pages-menus. Why not?December 1, 2013 at 9:55 am #17812SakinKeymaster@Dirk: You can create your own set of Custom Menu from “Appearance => Menus”. Just add pages, categories and custom links as per you need. Also you can use drag and drop to arrange the order. Then after you create the menu. You need to assign that menu to the theme from “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations”
December 1, 2013 at 6:37 pm #17817DirkMemberThank you, Sakin.
I still don’t get it:
If you take a look at http://www.photos-event.de, you see that I have 2 menues with submenus. I want to change “infos” before “contact”.
And I did create a menue “categories” which does not appear.December 2, 2013 at 12:10 am #17823SakinKeymaster@Dirk: That is why I am telling you to create your own custom menu from “Appearance => Menus”, from here you can click on pages, category or add custom links as per you wish and then also use drag and drop from your mouse to change the position. See this http://catchthemes.com/blog/custom-menus-wordpress-themes/
December 2, 2013 at 7:17 am #17830DirkMemberHello Sakin,
well, did I mention, that I did create the third set of menues named “categories” the same way I created “INFOS” and “CONTACT”?
All three show up in the admin-area, but only “categories” does not show up on the website.
Yes, I know how to arrange the sub-menues by drag and drop. But how can I arrange the sets in the PRIMARY MENUE???
I asked you how I can put the set “INFOS” in front of “CONTACT”.I did read the instructions, but still (maybe because English is not my native language) I don’t get it.
On other templates and other websites I constructed, I succeeded. Can I attach two screenshots in case we are misunderstanding or send by email?
Thank you for your help – Dirk
December 2, 2013 at 10:26 am #17834SakinKeymaster@Dirk: Sorry I don’t get you. Yes you can upload the screenshot in your site and send me the screenshot URL.
As per my instruction, I mean you can add any number of items in your single menu from “Appearance => Menus”. You don’t need to create different sets of menus. Just create single set of menu where you can add pages, categories and custom links. And yes for the position like “Infos” in front of Contact. You can use your mouse and drag the Info page at top then Contact and it will be fine. See this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjQfCx0zY6A
December 3, 2013 at 5:03 am #17851DirkMemberDear Sakin,
I watched, read and checked all the information you sent me.
Did you realize that the menues “contact” and “information” has submenues if you mouse-over it?!?! Under “menue-structure” I can arrange these submenues by drag-and-drop as you and the videos described – that was never a problem. But I can not arrange the main menues! The main-menue “categories” (with sub-categories) appears next to the other two main-menues under “Appearance -> Menues”, but it does not show up on the website!
Here are two screenshots to describe the problem more clearly: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/woa8wbk28na0lvf/Vvso49CyuM
December 3, 2013 at 5:22 am #17852DirkMemberPS: I also don’t find the chance to set/edit the “secondary menue” and the “footer menue”!? Or is this not available in the free version?
December 3, 2013 at 12:08 pm #17862SakinKeymaster@Dirk: There is only one menu that you can use in this theme. There is no Secondary and footer menu.
I don’t know why you are not getting me. You can add the Sub-menus as per your wish and also arrange as per your wish with your mouse drag and drop. See this custom menu with submenus https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81234910/Custom%20Menu.png . After you create menu you need to assign menu. See this how I have assign menu https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81234910/Menu%20Location.png
