When I check our https site via console I get this https:// <-> http:// complaint:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.stiftung-meeresschutz.org/&#8217; was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://www.stiftung-meeresschutz.org/wp-content/themes/adventurous-pro/images/social-profile.png&#8217;. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Is there a way to load social-profile.png with a https:// link?

@dsm: Login to your WordPress admin section. Go to media, locate the image and remove it and try uploading the image again. If you are still having issue after uploading the image again let me know.

@Tikaram: Thanks for this. This won’t work though cause this social-profile.png ist not within media.

Think one needs to change the whole link:

http://www.stiftung-meeresschutz.org/wp-content/themes/adventurous-pro/images/social-profile.png
into

https://www.stiftung-meeresschutz.org/wp-content/themes/adventurous-pro/images/social-profile.png
if try the https: version I hit the same view with all the social media images the theme provides.

Do you know how to fix that?

@dsm: I checked your site and the social-profile.png is also using the https instead of http. If you have a caching plugin please deactivate it and let me know again if the issue still persists.

@Tikaram: all right, guess you pinned it down :), problem keeps popping up and disappearing without me having anything done, will have to check this caching plugin …
