    Please guide me how to stop displaying posts on my static HOME page.

    I tried installing WP Hide POst plugin, but is giving the following error, Warning: Parameter 2 to wp_hide_post_Public::query_posts_join() expected to be a reference, value given in /home3/uutc1537/public_html/petfriendlyplots.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286

    You can assign a category to your posts. In the customizer sections you can choose which categories are shown on the homepage. Goto Theme Options > HomepageFrontpage Options and select the categories that you want to be visible on the homepage.

    You can also choose to show a static page instead of posts. Goto customizer and Homepage Settings.
