Hi, how do I make a page that is just blog posts? Do I have layout options for it?
Thanks!
Ima
June 20, 2019 at 11:26 pm #175413SkandhaParticipant@imajons: Go to => Appearance => Customize => Homepage Settings => Your homepage displays => Check a Static Page option and then Select the page in Posts Page Select Option.
Let me know if this works out!
Kind Regards,
SkandhaJune 20, 2019 at 11:32 pm #175415imajonsParticipantThe confusion is that I have it set to Latest Posts, and that is making my homepage be similar to the Audioman Pro theme demo, which is what I want. If I set it to Static, what happens to my demo-like homepage?
Thanks!
June 20, 2019 at 11:40 pm #175417imajonsParticipantAlright, I did what you said and realized that if I select Sample Page as the homepage then I will get what I am looking for. Although it is displaying the blog as a “News” section randomly at the bottom, which I don’t want, but I am guessing that can be deleted/changed?
Thanks!
June 20, 2019 at 11:44 pm #175420imajonsParticipantOh and it is now calling the Blog page Archive and News?
June 20, 2019 at 11:49 pm #175421SkandhaParticipant@imajons: Hello there,
Yes you can change the News text.Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Options => Recent Posts Heading =>Edit the text and Publish.
You can change the Archive text in Blog Page.

SkandhaJune 21, 2019 at 12:54 am #175423imajonsParticipantThank you Skandha, I now have everything in order, except there is only one post showing on my Blog page. It seems to be a “Featured” post, not sure if I selected that category somewhere but now I can’t find it. How do I have all my posts show on the Blog page. And do I have any options as far as layout?
Thank you!
June 21, 2019 at 3:03 am #175428SkandhaParticipant@imajons: You can select the specific categories of post you want to display.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Option => Select CategoriesI’m afraid there show no option to change the layout.
Let me know if this helps you out!
Kind Regards,
SkandhaJune 21, 2019 at 9:17 am #175444imajonsParticipantIt appears that the only thing that is appearing on the blog page is an archive. I can tell because I was able to control the layout under Layout Options – Archive Content Layout, which changed the layout of the blog/posts page. Plus there is not an option for categories under Homepage/Frontpage. What am I missing? Is there a theme update I missed?
Thanks!
June 23, 2019 at 9:20 am #175537SkandhaParticipant@imajons: Hello Ima,
There should be an option to select categories under Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Options.
Can you attach me a screenshot of what options do you have under Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Options.Kind Regards,
SkandhaJune 23, 2019 at 7:51 pm #175548imajonsParticipantIs there a way to attach an image here that isn’t a link? The IMG option is asking for a link.
Definitely don’t have the Categories option. It says: “Only posts that belong to the categories selected here will be displayed on the front page”, but then no options for categories is given. The only thing I can choose from are three different Headings, “Recent Posts Heading”, “Posts, Page, Header Text”, and “Recent Posts Sub Heading”.
Thanks!

July 13, 2019 at 7:14 pm #177078imajonsParticipantHi @skandha,
Hope you got my e-mail with the correct credentials. There is something really weird going on with the posts page. It seems that what shows is the Featured Content material, but only if I have the posts within Featured Content set to “Stick to the top of the blog”.
When I go to the Homepage/Frontpage Options, the check boxes for where Recent Posts should show give me two different versions of Recent Posts. Those seem to be the versions that should show on the posts page, but they are not doing that. Is the Featured Content overriding the blog posts/recent posts page by any chance?
Thanks!
July 15, 2019 at 12:08 am #177133SkandhaParticipant@imajons: Hello Ima,
I did check your site. Do you want to have Featured Content as well as the recent posts enabled on your Static Homepage? I checked the option Check to Enable Recent Posts on Static Page under Homepage/Frontpage Settings and now both Featured Content Section as well as the Recent Posts section is showing up.Let me know if this what you want!
Kind Regards,
SkandhaJuly 16, 2019 at 9:16 am #177268imajonsParticipantHi,
So no, I only want the Featured Content on the homepage, not recent posts. I want the View More button to link to the blog page, but the blog page isn’t working as stated before. It is only showing Featured Content that includes posts that are marked “stick to top”. I want Recent Posts to show on the blog page, not Featured Content. Not sure why it is doing that as I thought blogs usually showed all recent posts by default.
Does that make sense?
Thanks!
Ima
July 16, 2019 at 9:16 am #177269imajonsParticipantAlright, now when I went on there I saw you had changed the settings and all of a sudden the Categories in Homepage/Frontpage were showing. They had been missing before. Then I unchecked “Check to disable Recent Posts/Content on homepage”, and the ability to choose Categories disappeared again.
This is confusing because the two check buttons seem to do a similar thing, to control whether Recent Posts is showing on the Homepage. However neither one of them does what I need, which is to show Recent Posts on the blog page only. How do I do that?
They also don’t look the same, and I want the version that shows when I have “Check to Enable on Static Page” checked … except again, I don’t want it on the static page, only on the blog page.
Thanks 🙂
July 16, 2019 at 9:17 am #177270imajonsParticipantAnd also it would be great if I could set the posts/pages background color to a default color that doesn’t affect the Homepage colors. Any way to do that?
Thanks so much for your help!
