Dear Skandha,

after nearly finishing the homepage, there remains one problem: In the Homepage/Frontpage Options is no effect in choosing the categories, they always remain complete on the side. Refreshing, on and off actions and so on did not solve the problem. I understood the way to choose multiple categories: But there is simply no effect on the site. What should I do have a reaction on my site while choosing specific categories? Thanks for your help!

Hello Skandha,

my site URL is

At the bottom of the site there they are (Title: “Pressetexte”): All of my articles of all of my categories (it starts with “Musik”, “Social Media”), but my choice was only “Presse”. Probably there was a possibility to send you a screenshot of my definitions in the back end: Here they are via text:

Categories: Only “Presse” was choosen
<span class=”customize-control-title”>Recent Posts on Static Page</span>: On

@pedweb-de: Hello Christian,

The Categories option only works when you have selected homepage as latest posts and not a static page.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Homepage Settings => Your homepage displays => Select Your latest posts and Publish.

Then,
You can add the Instagram section as a widget
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Widgets => Add your Instagram Widget and Publish.
