How do I hide the tags and post meta from appearing?

When you write and publish a post, you can see such info as: “posted by xyz on October 20” at the top of the post. And at the bottom of the post you can see the list of categories used for that post, eg “posted in About, Catchthemes” For a pro site, obviously this sort of information not relevant. How do you hide it? Can I add something to the custom CSS?

@xyzods: Ok you can just add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
.entry-meta { display: none; }
