Hi! We would like to put a “Featured Content” slider on our homepage. We would like the slider to appear where the “International Association” badge appears:

Anyway, we tried creating a Custom slider and we chose a badge photo to display and found it was scaled up to some huge size such that the image quality was severely degraded. So, what’s the best way to accomplish this? Ideally, we would want the slider to consist of a badge image (similar to the badge that appears on the home page now), a caption describing the badge, and a link to the related site. If the badge could be the link that would be great.

Did you try using the Featured Slider section for this?

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Enable the section and try using Custom Images.

@Skandha Thanks for the info! When I get to “Featured Slider”, I enable it on the home page and I can see various options. I don’t see “Custom Images” anywhere. I can choose “Custom” as a “slider type” and I can choose various images, but that’s the problem. When I choose a custom image, it gets scaled much larger than its natural size and I can’t control the image options anywhere I can find.

What am I missing?

Can you try using the Custom Type and upload some images and let me know so that I can check and try providing you the necessary CSS to scale the image correctly?

@Skandha We don’t need to use the “featured content slider” anymore since we got the “Logo slider” working. 🙂
