Hello –
I have created multiple sites using the free My Music Band theme, all of which have featured soundless video headers on the front page – but for some reason, I can’t get this one particular website to play the video.

I have seen numerous questions about this throughout the help forum, all of which have ended with someone saying that they’re responding directly via email, but they don’t say anything about how to fix it. I have also installed the Header Enhancement plugin, which hasn’t fixed the issue. I have also “Enabled” the header settings on the theme. The video is under 8mb. Can someone please let me know what I’m doing wrong?

It is strange as when I check at my end the Header Video seems to be working fine when a custom video is used.

I’m having similar issue. Header video works on desktop, but not on mobile. Can you assist?

I put added a header photo, which shows up on mobile. But I would like the video. If I remove the header photo, it is a black box.

@pjones: Hello there,
The Header Video not playing on mobile devices or screen size below 900px width is a default WordPress feature. To have the Header Video work on mobile devices as well you will need to use our Header Enhancement Plugin. Install and Activate the plugin.

Ok, thanks. The video shows now on mobile only if I click on the pause symbol (it is a black box until I click). And then it opens in a new window and plays with sound.
I would like the video clip silent, play automatically on mobile, and not open in a new window. When someone clicks, I only want it to go to the page I have linked in the button. Is this available on the paid version of this plug in? I will disable it for now.

Yes, that is possible using the pro version of the plugin. I suggest you to upgrade to pro.

Install and Activate the plugin.

Then,
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Header Media => Uncheck the option Check to enable Sound and Publish.
