    I would like to use an image for the header background instead of having a solid color.  Is that possible?

    @Samson81: You can add like the following css in your “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
    `#hgroup-wrap { background: url(http://dev.webermfg.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/carbon_fiber2.jpg) repeat scroll 0 0; }`

    hi

    with the header image, it really looks too small even though i am increasing the size in photoshop it still uploads too small??

    @samoliver: Yes you header image is still small you can increase up to 800px.
