Hi there,
we are using the amazing catch everest theme in our travelblog http://www.bayerwaldberge.de for a few days now.
But there is one problem concering the featured slider: if you click directly on the picture in the featured slider, you are directed to an error site (“Oops – that page can’t be found”). The problem is that there appear the signs %22 an the end of each link of the featured slider image. EDIT: I just figured out that the signs %22 appear when using Apple Safari Browser. When using Firefox, the sign ” appears at the end of each link – same result: Error page
But, if you click directly on the grey text area of the featured slider, everything works fine and you are directed to the post.
Any idea how to fix this problem?
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards
Daniel

March 8, 2013 at 3:20 pm #4810SakinKeymaster@Dane30 and @Dan Davies: Thanks for reporting. I have found the issue and submitted the update to WordPress.org and they will make it available soon.
But for now: You can go to “Appearance => Editor” and then click on “catcheverest-functions.php” from right sidebar of Editor. Then the editor will option the file catcheverest-fucntions.php file. Then copy the code from this file http://themes.svn.wordpress.org/catch-everest/0.1.2.2/inc/catcheverest-functions.php and paste there and click on Update File button.
If you don’t feel confident about making changes then send email to at support[at]catchthemes[dot]com with your WordPress site access and I will do that for you.
March 9, 2013 at 3:35 am #4844Dane30MemberHi Sakin,
thanks for your quick reply.
I copied the code in the file “catcheverest-functions.php”.
But this seems not to solve the problem, the featured slider image still directs to the error page.

I am using the Catch responsive theme and have the same problem…..
What can I do in my theme ?
I would also prefer to have the text “half-in-the-picture” as it is on the preview from the everest theme, but I can’t find a possibility to arrange it……
Thx for your help !
March 9, 2013 at 11:21 am #4848SakinKeymaster@verena.v: Please use Catch Responsive forum. Catch Responsive is different theme.
March 9, 2013 at 4:05 pm #4868Dane30MemberHi Sakin,
I copied the whole text in the linked file, and replaced the code in the file catcheverest-functions.php, and updated the file. But it does not work.
Did I anything wrong?
Best regards
Daniel

you’ve got mail 🙂
March 9, 2013 at 4:30 pm #4871SakinKeymaster@Dane30: There was transient cache. If you have changed anything in theme Option panel then it will clear the transient cache. It’s done. Have a nice day.
March 9, 2013 at 6:58 pm #4878Dane30Memberit works – thanks for your great support!
March 9, 2013 at 10:07 pm #4882March 12, 2013 at 9:26 am #5000SakinKeymasterTo all Catch Everest users, there is new version 0.1.2.2 available for download. You can just update your theme to fix this issue.
There is cache for the Featured Post Slider, so after you update in. Please change any value on Them Options panel which will manually clear the cache otherwise you have to wait 24 hours to be cleared automatically.
March 16, 2013 at 10:02 pm #5259wendyw627MemberHi, I’ve messed up the codes, and copy the entire code from the given page as above.
http://themes.svn.wordpress.org/catch-everest/0.1.2.2/inc/catcheverest-functions.php
But I am still getting the error message
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in D:\Hosting\10697012\html\wp-content\themes\catch-everest\inc\catcheverest-functions.php on line 913
How do I fix this?
Thank you!
March 16, 2013 at 10:09 pm #5260SakinKeymaster@wendyw627: You don’t need to copy that code. That was only when there was not theme update. Now you can just update your theme to latest version http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/catch-everest and it will work fine.
April 18, 2013 at 9:29 pm #7276nenepretty85MemberHello there! I downloaded the latest version from the beginning, but I still have this problem.

April 19, 2013 at 7:03 pm #7323nenepretty85MemberI did it many times and I tried from other computers, but nothing. Could be the IP? I don’t really know.
