Hi all,
On my prototype website (http://newsite.conay.co.uk), the featured post slider is not working despite setting it up to point to a post with a featured image. Any help?
Just to add here, the ‘preview’ slider worked when the theme was first set up.
Thanks,
Conor

Check out this forum thread http://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/featured-post-slider-not-showing-up/
March 30, 2013 at 2:08 am #6163ConayMemberI checked the post ID’s and they are both correct.
March 30, 2013 at 4:47 am #6168eilpresMemberI am currently using Catch Everest and it’s the same for me. I have the correct id but not working. Somewhat distorted in Google Chrome but not showing up at all in Safari. I just purchased Catch Everest Pro but for some reason cannot download and install and waiting to hear back from support.

By the way then I check in your site http://206.130.117.218/~martinva/ . I found that you have not follow the step of adding featured image in the post. If if you are confused about how to add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
March 30, 2013 at 8:43 am #6174SakinKeymaster@Conay: I think you are confused about Post ID. I guess that you are adding in the Page ID instead of Post ID. Page ID will not work in Featured Post Slider. If you want Featured Page Slider or Feature Image Slider then you need to upgrade to Pro version.
For your easy solution, follow the steps below:
1. Just create new Post through “Posts => Add New” from your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Then fill in the Post Title, Content and don’t forget to add in the featured image. See this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
3. Remember this post ID and go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.If you follow this step then you will get your Featured Post running fine.
March 30, 2013 at 9:46 am #6177ConayMemberI want to add, for example, this post: http://newsite.conay.co.uk/?p=142
I’ve assumed that the Post ID is 142 (I hope so, because I can’t find any other number) and added it to the featured post slider – yet it fails to work.
March 30, 2013 at 9:53 am #6178SakinKeymaster@Conay: Yes you are right, looks like plugin conflict. I have just emailed you. Please respond then I will look in details.
March 30, 2013 at 10:18 am #6179SakinKeymaster@Conay: Look at your site http://newsite.conay.co.uk . The slider is working fine.
June 7, 2013 at 4:51 pm #10077ElisabettaMemberHello Sakin,
I’ve been using Simple Catch since long and the slider always worked pefectly. However, it’s been two days since it’s blocked: as you can see from my homepage, it shows only one post, although I set it for six. What can I do?June 8, 2013 at 12:14 am #10108SakinKeymaster@Elisabetta: It looks like there is some issue with the slider script. Do debug, I need to check in your site. So, I will contact you through email.
June 8, 2013 at 9:00 am #10136SakinKeymaster@Elisabetta: The issue has been fixed. I just updated to latest version 2.4.3
June 8, 2013 at 9:38 am #10137ElisabettaMemberThank you Sakin, you were great as always!
December 7, 2013 at 9:00 pm #17995eckh20ParticipantHi,
I have the same problem as Elisabetta – the featured slider has been working fine for months but all of a sudden it’s stuck on the first post instead of scrolling through all 7. What do I need to do to debug this please?

December 8, 2013 at 12:30 am #18004SakinKeymaster@eckh20: I see that you have changed footer.php file. Please don’t edit and remove that. As that files is required for slider script to be working.
December 8, 2013 at 2:59 am #18010eckh20ParticipantI don’t know how to change .php files so I’m not sure what I did to affect it and break the slider. How do I fix this?
December 8, 2013 at 6:57 pm #18025SakinKeymaster@eckh20: Then you can just active any other theme and then delete Catch Everest Theme and then do the fresh installation of Catch Everest Theme from “Appearance => Themes”. This will revert back to the original file but you will not loose your content.
December 24, 2013 at 2:31 pm #18594yinc88MemberHi
I am having the same problem here – http://www.motorbikesforher.com
I have created 2 posts with images, entered the post ID and it isn’t showing up.
Also, if I want to upgrade to catch everest pro (as I prefer an image slider to a post slider) how would I do that?
Thanks
Yin
January 26, 2014 at 5:32 pm #19663eckh20ParticipantThanks Sakin – deleting and reinstalling the theme fixed the slider and also the mosaic galleries which had also suddenly stopped working.
