Event dates on the homepage are in order of when the post was created, rather than by the dates entered into the Day/Month meta boxes. Any help?

@nezmonk: Hello there,
The events post are ordered in the order you set them in Events section in the customizer.
Post 1 display in the first column, Post 2 in the second column and so on. The date of the event doesnot determine the order of the event posts rather they are ordered in the way you select posts in the customizer.

I am using “Category” as my content type. I’m showing posts in a category called “Events.” I figured since the post editor has meta data for “Day” and “Month”, then that meta data would be used to sort the posts in the event section.

Will this maybe be a feature in an update? Seems a shame to only use that data to display the event date above the post content. I thought this section would automatically sort and display the next upcoming events, regardless of when the posts are created and without having to manually re-sort when new events are added.

Oh well.

I also need this done. I was under the impression that the Event Date feature worked better and it is very weak. Can you fix it so that the Event Dates are in order of date?
