Hello,
I tried several options to change the diaporama in my presentation page.
When I follow the theme insructions, I have to go in the Diaporama options and click on image slider. Then I have put my 4 pictures (the ID number of the 4 pictures) that I want to display in my diaporama; but I only get points (as well as the < > to move the slider of the diaporama) on my homepage instead of my diaporama with the beautiful pictures.
Can you please help me ?May 14, 2014 at 8:19 pm #30601SakinKeymaster@Perriard: I don’t get it what you mean. Are you using Featured Image Slider in Catch Kathmandu Pro theme. Then you are not supposed to add the ID number of the image. But you are supposed to add the Image URL.
May 15, 2014 at 1:25 pm #30747PerriardMemberHello,
thanks for your response. I do use Kathmandu Pro theme but the beautifl images of the Indian palace etc is not replaced by my pictures. Only three little points in blue appear. I first have put my pictures in my bibliothque media, it didn’t work. So with your response I tried to take it directly of my galery on my computer (and did change the format of my picture to make sure it has enough space) but still only 3 points does appear on the homepage of my site.
You can have a look on http://www.ipromed.ch if you want.
Thanks for your return.May 16, 2014 at 12:29 am #30833SakinKeymaster@Perriard: See this screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798331985501/. Where you have add in your image URL in Image For example you image url will be like this http://concertation.ch/ipromed/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/05/Photo-mediateur-urbain.png
If you still cannot find it then you can send me your images URL and then I will send you screenshot with your image URL so that you can do it exactly.
May 16, 2014 at 12:07 pm #30942PerriardMemberHello Sakin,
thanks for your response. Actually I did already do that. And first I ckicked on the buttom to get my image in my bibliotheque media. As it didn’t worked, then I copied the URL of each picture that I bought on shutterstock :
http://concertation.ch/ipromed/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/05/shutterstock_75385903.jpghttp://concertation.ch/ipromed/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/05/shutterstock_139383557.jpg
but this also didn’t work. The photo of the india budha went away because I have choosen “slider diapo with featured image” instead of “featured page”; and I only have 2 or 3 blue points instead of my pictures.
The only way to get back the beautiful pictures of the origin slide is to click “featured page” in the options of my diaporama. As soon as I select another choice the pictures disapear.
Sorry to matter you with this, but I have tried during the whole week already. I thought this problem was due to the first version of Katmandu and thus I bought on monday the “pro” version, but I still have the same problem.May 16, 2014 at 2:01 pm #30969SakinKeymasterHello Perriard,
The image URL you have send me at very large and will not look good in your slider. It will be better if you have image width 1280px and height any size you like.
It should work fine. Let me show you detail in screenshots. First go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider” and in Select slider type select “Featured Image Slider”
Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Featured Image Slider Options” and click on Upload in image. See this screenshot showing this action http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798331985501/. After you upload the image you will see Image Box Like this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798331986216/, where you have select the Image URl and then click in “Insert into Post”. Then save change.
If this doesn’t work for you then you can directly paste your image URL in “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Featured Image Slider Options” and in Image paste the url and then try adding title as well. I suspect there issue with the title.
Also I will send you personal email to work with you on your site.
Regards,
SakinMay 19, 2014 at 3:49 pm #31345PerriardMemberHello Sakin,
regarding your last message, I thought that my problem was linked to the size of my pictures. Actually I bought these pictures under the “middle format”. And when you try to change the size of your image, you only can reduce and so I can’t get to the 1280 pixels.
But then I tried with personal photos that I have on my computer. Theses ones, I can change the size. So I tried with 3 pictures (by changing the size, which arrives about 960 pixels width even if my original size of picture is 2592 x 1936) and add this to my diaporama, but I still have points instead of my pictures. Before buying new sizes of my pictures (which are very expensive when you need 1280 width) I have to be sure that my problem is due to the format/size of the pictures that I am trying to put in my diaporama.
Thanks for your help
May 21, 2014 at 10:57 pm #31693SakinKeymaster@Perriard: 1280px is the width of Catch Kathmandu Pro theme. So, if you keep image less then this size then you will have empty space in left and right of slider.
