My site http://walnutcreekband.org doesn’t display properly on an iphone (at least on my 5S). On the phone it always gives 404 (only on the initial access – if I press Home it loses the 404) and it displays things I don’t have setup, like Search and Archives and doesn’t display things I do have setup like Featured Content (3 columns).

Very strange and annoying. Any help appreciated!

@kmccall: Do you have any plugins installed. If yes, try disabling plugins and check if that resolves the issue. Currently you have jetpack mobile view enabled. Let me know further.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I had Jetpack mobile turned on, but when I turn it off it turns into an:

Error 404, Oops! That page can’t be found.

It also does not display the Featured Content items.

When I turn off the Jetpack mobile, it behaves incorrectly – it shows things that I don’t even have set up, like Most Used Categories, Recent Posts, Archives and Search – none of which I have set up in my theme and I don’t want.

OK, I have a much more refined diagnosis.

It’s only Safari on the iPone 5S that experiences these issues. I run other browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc) onmy 5S and it’s not a problem, it displays as expected. On my daughter’s iPhone 6S, no issues. Old iPad no issues. A couple of android devices no issues.

iPhone 5S running the latest IOS (10.3.1) model MLMA2LL/A – this is the only device I have that experiences all these weird and bad behaviors.

And I must say, the Clean Education theme’s responsive display is much nicer than Jetpack!

So, for now I’ll just ensure I test on a differnt browser!
