    Hi

    I cannot update Version 3.1 to 3.3 Simple Catch Pro. It always says “An error occurred while updating Simple Catch Pro: Update package not available.”.

    What can I do?

    Thank you, but its just showing this message: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.

    Why is it not updating as usual?

    Hi, Sarah.

    This message means that the software could not be extracted from the zip archive. Can you please check that your web server has available space on the volume where WordPress is installed and that you’re not running into quota issues (if applicable)?

    Which file I have to download? Because its not showing a .zip file

    There is a “Download Catch Updater Plugin” in that page. It should give you a zip file. If it is not giving a zip file, then your browser is automatically unzipping it for you(usually happens in case of safari). If this happens, then there will be a catch-updater folder. Just zip it back up upload that zip in Dashboard=> Plugins=> Add New=> Upload Plugin

    I’m using Sarfari, so thats why it’s not showing the .zip file then. I can’t upoload the whole folder. It’s just not working and leads me to the files inside the folder. There is an .php doc “catch-updater but this gives me the following notice:

    The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    You will need to zip that folder again and upload the zip folder.

    If zipping the file is a problem, you can view this thread and see how to disable auto unzipping.

    Zipping is working, downloading too, but when I tried to activate the plugin it shows: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare catch_updater_load_textdomain() (previously declared in /home/rapunzel/www/rapunzel-will-raus.ch/wp-content/plugins/catch-updater/catch-updater.php:50) in /home/rapunzel/www/rapunzel-will-raus.ch/wp-content/plugins/catch-updater/catch-updater Kopie.php on line 50

    Humm, it is pretty strange issue. can you deactivate other plugins and try activating the plugin again. This can be due to a plugin conflict.

    I deleted the plugin, downloaded and zipped it again and its running now. I tried to update to the newest version of simple catch pro but its still showing
    An error occurred while updating Simple Catch Pro: Update package not available.

    HI @ Sarah,
    After installing the Catch Updater, then you will need to download the zip file from My Account page and then upload the zip as described below:
    = Updating Pro/Premium Themes =
    1. Download your theme’s latest version zip file
    2. Log into your WordPress site
    3. Go to “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Upload Theme”
    4. Browse the zip file with the new theme version to install
    5. Click “Install Now” and your theme will update to latest version and will create backup of your existing theme in Media Library
    Note: In Step 4, you can click on “More Options” to change the settings like: Updating Existing Theme, Create Backup and Message to display.
