    Hi there,

I would like to add a Youtube video (to the left) and a button to the bottom of the text in the Homepage Headline. I’ve been searching for hours for the correct .php file to do this in, and I haven’t wanted to break the responsive design, so I was also wondering what the best way to achieve this would be.

    Thanks!

@SteveW: You cannot add video in Homepage Headline. It’s for the Headlines. Maybe you can try adding in the page in the homepage. So, first create a page with the youtube video and all and then add that page in homepage. You can add that from “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Settings”

    Hi Sakin,

So what you are saying, is that I would create a new PHP page (and call it newhome.php for example) and then add the text and video and any other content and then below that, then also add the homepage featured content again?

If I am wrong, then I cannot find a way through the Homepage/frontpage Settings to add a page into the existing settings … I can only find a way to replace all of the content on the front page.

    Thanks!

Couldn’t find a way to edit my post 🙁

So, I tried giving adding a static page a go, and then setting the static page as my homepage, but! The featured content appears before the static page.

So I guess my question would be: Is there a way to get it above the Featured content without having to rewrite the entire page?

    Thanks in advance

@SteveW: This feature is not there. You need to build child theme and then change the position. Maybe you can send us your proposed layout design and I will send it to the developer team to work it out in upcoming version updates.
