MemberHi
I am wanting to add a full width header image for each of my Pages.
This is to be the same height and width as the slider image on the Homepage.
I want to add it to all Pages except the Homepage.
I have tried:
1) adding code per Page, which doesn’t do anything
2) making a new template, which works to a certain extent but is with the Content wrap so is restricted to the margins set within this.
3) Adding the div within the header, which gives me exactly what I want except it is on the Homepage too, which I don’t want.I also want the ability to change each header image so I wanted to set the div to read from the featured image set per page.
Is there any way to do this please as I am going around in circles a little here.
Many thanks

MemberI don’t want to make my site live so i have uploaded a screenshot of what i mean.
I want the red area to stretch the whole span of the navigation and header, and to be able to change the image in this per Page.June 20, 2013 at 7:36 pm #10761acanthuroid

MemberI would like to do something similar:
I have created a featured slider for the homepage but feel that single static images would be better for subsequent pages.
Is there a way to do this?
Thank you!

MemberI see that I can use Header Featured Image Options to Enable Featured Header Image to Pages & Posts; but when I ad a Feature Image to a page the image is repeated in the text.

MemberHere is a link to a page with the problem of two identical images set via Featured Image

MemberWorked it out:
On Page, set featured image (choosing one that is slider width) and check the default radio in Content Featured Image Size
In Theme Options > Header Featured Image Options >
Enable Featured Header Image > check Pages & Posts
Page/Post Featured Image Size > check Slider Image
Featured HeaderImage Position > check After Menu (or wherever you want your image to be)
🙂

MemberHi Lolley, thanks but I have experimented with this too to no avail.
Where do you find the area where you check Pages & Posts?

MemberI don’t have this option that Lolley mentioned:
In Theme Options > Header Featured Image Options >
Enable Featured Header Image > check Pages & PostsCan’t see anything that lets me check by Pages & Posts

Keymaster@acanthuroid: You can replace that image climbing image from the Theme Option, and for the pages and post image, You first have to add featured image on those page. See this on how to add featured image. http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image.
